"I wanted to give a huge shout out and thank you to our waitress Jenn and manager Brittany. They helped make my moms birthday and 5 year cancer free anniversary extra special by bringing out a nice dessert, some extra magic, and both shared their loved ones cancer stories. It was such a sweet, sentimental and beautiful gesture on both their parts! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such kindness out of restaurant staff before, it really warmed all of our hearts and was the cherry on top of my moms beautiful week visiting us in California all the way from Montreal! Thank you all so so much!"

"I've eaten at several Mexican restaurants in the Huntington area, but this one is by far the most authentic. The enchilada de pollo is amazing—if the sauce comes from a can, I want to know which one because it was fantastic! They even have Mexican Coke in bottles, which is rare. The margaritas are consistently high quality as well. The location is great too, right by Marshall, making it a regular stop for me alongside places like Giovanni's and Calamity J. I've never had a bad experience here!"

"Overall, terrible experience. Food was not good. Paid $26.00 for 6 tacos which were stale. Was basically told they didn’t care. Service was terrible. I had to flag the waiter down to get a drink refill. Total bill was almost $100.00 and the server didn’t bring me back the correct change. When I told him he owed me more money he acted angry. Would never go here again. I’d rather eat at Taco Bell. Service: Dine in"

"I tried to call in an order, but when someone answered the phone and said "hola," they just placed it down on the counter. I waited several minutes, but no one picked it back up. So, I decided to drive in and place my order at the bar while enjoying a margarita. Unfortunately, it took much longer than expected. I noticed several tables that arrived after me received their food before my order was ready. The food was good, as always, but the service was definitely lacking."

"One star is being generous for the meal I hardly ate. For starters the chips and salsa tasted like they picked them up from your local Walmart, fresh out of the bag and jar. Their house margarita was overly topped with sweet and sour mix and salt. Couldn't bare to drink it. The menus need to be redo badly. Half couldn't be read as it was worn off. When the food finally arrived my food was lacking every bit of flavor and my husband's food was wrong and sent back twice. We chose to just leave rather than attempting to eat anything. The waitress was kind and understanding but didn't make up for the horrible food"

"My husband and I have been dining at this restaurant for about 20 years now! We enjoy going on Saturday evenings for an early dinner around 5:00. There is never a wait for a table. While the prices have recently gone up slightly, most full dinners are still under $8.50. They have a full bar, seating available both inside and outside, and their takeout service is quick with food that is nearly identical to what is on the regular menu. I particularly enjoy their Chile Rellenos. They are willing to substitute beans for rice and accommodate special requests. Isidro is a wonderful waiter, and the rest of the staff is also very polite and efficient. They have a sign indicating no outside food is allowed on the premises. The restaurant is spacious and popular among families, as well as a gathering spot for college students. The decor is a bit old-fashioned with traditional booths and tables, but the atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy for conversation. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The menu offers options for everyone and the food is delicious without being overly heavy."

"My family and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a few birthdays, and they went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Even though we live 40 minutes away, we will definitely be making the drive again because it is possibly some of the best Mexican food I have ever had!"

"so disappointed, eaten tonight and the table was sticky unclean, so I moved. the waiting staff did not try to clean, although it was very obvious that the table was not cleaned. chips were stale salsas in order. fyi med bier 22 oz $6.29 so that is a 20 dollar six pack. street tacos were only roughly boiled meat fat pieces, I hope the dark spots in the fried beans were seasoned, they did not see them too late. I would not recommend this place, they returned to a 1 star restaurant with a lack of Luster service."

"El nopal is a super popular and rapidly growing Mexican food establishment spread throughout the Lousiville area and it surrounding cities. This particular location is off Preston Highway in a shopping center where hillview is right before the bullitt county borderline. As mentioned el nopal has grown to so many locations that I can't possibly count them all. However this hillview location is one of the originals. It has at least been here for 20 years. I can remember when my wife and I was teenagers working retail nearby. On paydays we would cash our checks and go to this el nopal practically every Friday. As years passed by we haven't frequented this establishment as much. While it is still close to our parents and our kids schooling their are other el nopals closer to our residence. But we still do come from time to time For nostalgic reasons. We recently had them reserve the back room for over 40 people when we got my youngest and 5th born daughter baptized. They were easy to work with and were very prepared. Honestly the least stress I've ever been when reserving a big party room. They did great. For the food me and my family like most Lousiville families love us some El nopal. There is a reason this place has gotten so many local locations. To me they have the best complimentary red salsa and chips out there. Always Fresh and always tasty. Me personally my go to meal is the enchilada supremas which is 5 different type of enchiladas. I always throw a curve ball and order all 5 of mine with cheese and just red sauce and cheese on top. I'm picky but it's good. Plus life hack. Once all the enchiladas are gone you have a huge plate of queso cheese left that you can then use the complementary chips on. You're welcome! My wife has sampled the menu much more than me as has my oldest daughter. They love everything they have tasted here. I'd say the menu is traditional Mexican. So if your favorite Mexican establishment has a meal than el nopal Probably does as well. Overall great local franchise with tasty food and this is a nice location. The location has always been nostalgic for me because we've been here so many times and for so many years but I was completely impressed and blown away of how well they handled our large party reservation. Great job to all workers and staff!"

"Tried El Piquin 2 for the first time today. The food was really delicious, and the service was good. The restaurant looked clean. The shrimp could use a bit more seasoning to be perfect. Update: Came back a few days later. I forgot to mention the great Latin music playing last time—it had me dancing in my chair, LOL! The chorizo is so good I had to return for more. My 13-year-old said it was a bit spicy after two tacos. The flan is tasty as well."

"Update: We tried Casa Real Mexican Grill. 3 Margaritas far exceeds the quality of their food, service, and atmosphere. You can skip Casa Real and head to 3 Margaritas! We won't go anywhere else. We have been to 3 Margaritas in Loveland many times over the years. It's the best Mexican food in the area. The service is always friendly and quick. The food is always fresh and delicious. The portions are a generous size for the cost. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere here. They truly aim to please their customers and they do a great job of it."

"We went to this restaurant for years and are the way for our Mexican cuisine. There are several Mexican restaurants in the area so that the theme is fairly saturated, but we always chose Mexico restaurant over the others. First, it is always clean and well organized and the prices are very fair for the provided foods. We have always experienced an exceptional customer service from all, including managers, servers and host. They may not be as high as competitors or over the top, but we are here hundreds of times and have never complained about the service. The food is good and they do a great task to update the menu and offer new items. It is not an authentic kitchen, but is enough to offer a good meal. We have a family member with heavy gluten allergies, and this is the only Mexican restaurant where she feels comfortable, and they offer her many opportunities. The bar drinks are definitely short spectacular, but for those looking for a family-friendly atmosphere, Mexico does not really promote alcohol and its bar is always empty. Anyone looking for a bar scene will be disappointed. The terrace is amazing, but inside is comfortable, but a bit boring and not as loud and flamboyant as some of the other restaurants. In the end, in a highly saturated topic, we continue to come here about others because of the consistency and above-average brands in all areas. It's not fantastic at all, but we've never been disappointed."

"We really enjoy the food and like sitting at the bar, but we've had to look for other options because of a strong smell of stale beer at the bar. Although we noticed it during our previous visits, it has become so intense that it's no longer bearable. Recently, we were informed that they are addressing the issue, so we hope to be able to come back soon. It would also be beneficial if they offered drink specials to attract more customers, especially since there are several other Mexican restaurants nearby."

"I tried the Beyond Fajitas at this restaurant and they were delicious. The only thing missing was some vegan cheese, but I still enjoyed them. I got six tacos for a fair price. The refried beans seemed to be made with lard, as they were flavorful and came in a nice portion of black beans. I will definitely be coming back for more."

"We promised Mom and Dad a night of Mexican cuisine, and although we've been to Angelina in Lincoln Park before, we had never visited the Wyandotte location. Upon arrival, we placed our order at the front counter. After ordering a large amount of food, we settled at a nearby table as we waited for our meals to be prepared. While waiting, I took the chance to browse the menu, and there are so many dishes I'd like to come back and try. For tonight, I ordered the Pollo Ranchero, which features roasted chicken breast smothered in melted cheese and Spanish sauce, complemented by sides of refried beans and rice, and I chose flour tortillas (even though I couldn’t finish them). I swear there were at least four chicken breasts on my plate — or maybe just two very large butterfly-cut breasts. I’m excited to try something new on my next visit!"

"we had one of the pizza selections as an appetizer and it was very good; I've been very good too. The biggest part I've ever seen is the chat. it can be easily divided; but it comes alone and if they want a side of pasta etc, they must order this separately. the drinks were good as our blessings. my only difference to this place is that the ambiente was more casual than I expected and the noise level is the equivalent of a high school cafeteria. if they are a family with young children, then this is space for them, as their children can make as much noise as they desire, and no one will be the smarter. everything in all it is not a bad place, only not what I expect for a few nights to dinner. great place for families and the 20 a little crowd."

"This location offers excellent food and service when you dine in. However, the takeout experience is inconsistent and often inaccurate. Many of the staff handling takeout can be unfriendly. I won’t be coming back to this location."

"Had dinner there tonight. Food was amazing! We had Fajitas, perfect sailor and wonderful taste! Our adult son had a Burrito the size of his plate and completely disappeared into our Fajitas! Our guys are groundless pits so that is absolutely no reflection on portion sizes. We also had the queso laguna ... the most delicious product I've ever tried in a Mexican restaurant!!! The restaurant was clean and the staff was really nice. Super thorough, without being intrusive or overwhelming. Prices are very reasonable. This will be our way as long as we live here in GA."
