"We went with high expectations hoping to find a place as good as Brooklyn’s Llama Inn in Manhattan but came out very disappointed. Maybe they were overwhelmed because of Restaurant Week. We had booked a standard dining table for pm which was not available when we got there. At pm they offered us seats at the high tables. When we pointed out that OpenTable lets you select which type of seating you prefer, first they tried to argue that that was not true and then finally moved us to the dining room.Service in the dining room was mediocre. Our water glasses were not refilled, I finished a cocktail with the appetizer and asked to see the wine list to order wine for the rest of the meal, somebody brought the list and the waiter never came to take the wine order. They never took the list or the empty cocktail glass off the table. The dining room was very full and it looked like there was only one waiter available so he clearly could not keep up.The food was OK not great. We ordered ceviche which was bland and crispy dumplings which were good except that the sauce was salty to the point of being inedible. For entrees we ordered the seafood risotto, which was the best dish of the evening, and the arroz con pato, recommended by the waiter and also quite bland and flavorless. The quinoa brownie desserts were entirely forgettable. So we are back to trekking to Brooklyn for great Peruvian food"

"I like to support local businesses, but unfortunately this wasn?t a good experience. Upon entering, We were kindly greeted by slightly overwhelmed staff. The restaurant itself was dated, but very clean which is much more important. It took a while untilour waiter arrived, but I was hoping the food would make up for it. I had to request chips and salsa after drinks came, whichthose and the bottled coca cola were pretty much all that were good. We got a beef and a chicken chimichanga dinner. It was verywatery and didn?t taste well. The beef was chewy, salty, not too good of flavor and dripping. The chicken was a little betterwith flavor, but still dripping. The watery juices from the meat leached out into the liquidy refried beans making a liquid soup like mess on the plate. I wish I got a picture, but it was a mess on the plate trying to work with it, so an image wouldmake this look even worse. It made me give up and my friend and I barely ate the meals. We didn?t take any left overs, didn?twant to complain because our waiter already seemed overwhelmed. We decided to order dessert, thinking that would be the savinggrace and well... the banana chonga my friend got was good, but the strawberry syrup should have been chocolate (the waiter saidthey were out and decided to substitute). I got the fried ice cream and it was a large scoop of ice cream in a fried tortillatopped with whipped cream, then caramel and strawberry syrup, those flavors don?t really go well together and there was nothingfried or at least a crunchy coating to give the fried ice cream idea. I did at least attach a pic of the ice cream that I liftedto show nothing on it making it nothing like fried ice cream. I wish the business the best and hope they can make it, I?m soclose by that I just wish they had good food."
