"We were the first customers of the day, yet our table wasn't clean. To make matters worse, there was a cockroach on the wall next to our table, forcing us to move. They also didn't have decaf coffee or butter for our toast. I want to be clear that the issues we encountered aren't the fault of the staff; this falls on the owner or owners. We all feel the pressure of the current labor shortage. While it's true that some people may lack motivation, as a business owner myself, I believe in rolling up my sleeves and addressing these issues head-on.
The food itself was decent – I’d give it a solid B. It wasn’t amazing, but it wasn't bad either. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It pains me to leave a negative review because this is my neighborhood, and I genuinely want to see this establishment thrive. After reading the owner's response, I decided to change my rating because I don't want to harm anyone's business. I truly hope you can overcome the challenges you're currently facing. I know firsthand how tough the restaurant business can be, as I worked in it for many years while in school. I wish you nothing but success."
