"To start, I had a cup of clam chowder, and it was by far one of the best I've ever tasted! I highly recommend it if you find yourself here. It had a wonderful balance of clams, bacon, and other flavors, creating a rich and hearty chowder without an overwhelming amount of potatoes, which I really appreciated. For my main course, I chose Fish and Chips and was not disappointed. It came with four generous pieces of fresh-fried fish that were breaded instead of battered. The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. The only thing that would have made it better was a side of coleslaw.
Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating by one star due to our second visit two nights later. After dining at a nearby Mexican restaurant in Cambria where the margarita was just okay, we recalled that an amazing margarita awaited us just down the road at Moonstone Beach! My wife suggested we go back, and I happily agreed. We sat at the bar, and I enjoyed a nice local Sauvignon Blanc. I had saved room to treat myself to another cup of that fantastic clam chowder, but sadly, I learned that no food is served at the bar. It's baffling to me that I can order a full meal at an Olive Garden bar but can't get a simple cup of chowder here."
