"When I purchased my food, the androgynous short Asian cashier was not very pleasant to me. I also noticed that their attitude towards another Black customer, a man, was similarly unfriendly. I took some time to observe their interactions with other customers and noticed that they were much more cheerful and accommodating towards Caucasian patrons.
It's unfortunate that many Black consumers contribute significantly to the success of Asian-owned businesses, from restaurants to beauty supply stores, despite some experiences of racism. While not everyone in the Asian community is bad, it seems that some have allied with certain politicians to oppose affirmative action, which negatively affects people of color. However, this strategy now seems to be backfiring on them. There have been articles written about this issue.
As a result, I, along with a few others, have decided to boycott the Chinatown Restaurant in Butner, NC. Additionally, a Black female coworker of mine found hair in her food and hasn't returned since."
