"Our dining experience at Haldi Chowk Authentic Indian Cuisine started off positively with the samosas, which were quite good, earning a solid 7/10. However, visiting on a Wednesday might not be the best choice for a curry night. The quality of the food should be consistent regardless of the day. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, which was disappointing; it contained only about six pieces of chicken, but too much sauce for three servings, and it was barely warm. While the flavor was present, it was overly salty, leading me to believe the curry might have been several days old. My wife’s chicken biryani was also on the salty side, with dry rice that wasn't hot, just lukewarm. We also tried the roti, which turned out to be quite chewy.
The only other patrons were three elderly women and a mother with a young child who wouldn’t stop screaming. Meanwhile, the restaurant owner sat at a table by the window, working on his laptop, with a framed picture of Guy Fieri oddly placed on the floor instead of hanging on the wall. His presence and phone calls made for an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. The waitress was pleasant enough, but her casual attire of a T-shirt and jeans didn’t reflect a professional image. The overall atmosphere lacked charm; some light Indian music would have been a welcome addition, and the decor could use significant improvement. We might consider returning on a weekend for a second chance, but for now, I’d rate it 4/10."
