"My partner and I visited Franchia during our last trip to NY and were so excited to try their food. HanGawi, their a bit fancier sister restaurant, had been on my radar for so long. Unfortunately, I often don't have time for that kind of sit-down experience when I'm passing through NY. Franchia's more casual (but still very nice! setting was perfect. We made reservations ahead and were seated very quickly upon arriving. The restaurant is tiered, so there are a few levels of seating. I think we were in the middle floor, which had several tables. We had to opt for pancake sampler, which was really excellent. I am always a sucker for scallion pancakes, so this was very much in my wheelhouse. We also got the Kabocha Bibimbap, which was also quite good. Service throughout the meal was attentive and pleasant. We would definitely like to go back next time we're in NY!"
