"We had a very enthusiast waitress who took our drink orders right away. We had to wait for quite a while before a server came with a bread basket, then longer still before our waitress came back. Our first course was delicious, and very enjoyable. Our main course was the Lamb Wellington. When it arrived it was immediately obvious that it had been over cooked. Mine was a little past medium whereas my guest's was medium well mostly brown. Though my guest did eat some of the lamb, we did complain. The waitress took the plate to the chef to let him know which is all we asked to pass on the information. The waitress returned with the plate, with a comment from the chef that it wasn't all over done. WITH HER FINGERS started to pry apart the lamb to show us! This was really quite appalling and should never happen at any restaurant, especially one like the Rattlesnake. The chef offered complimentary desserts in apology. The owner is a friend, and we will let her know what happened. It should not have. Makes me sad. I've always loved the Rattlesnake."
