"The salad and charcuterie are consistently tasty, but I wish there were more unique dressing options available. Also, they didn’t have ranch dressing, which is a staple for the kids in our group. While self-serve isn’t typically considered fine dining, it’s actually a practical way to handle a lavish brunch for a large number of guests. Although this is a resort, locals come here specifically for the food, so the quality has to be good since not everyone is a captive audience like resort guests might be. I appreciate that mimosa refills are just $1, and you can choose any juice for them, not just orange juice. The prime rib and made-to-order eggs/omelettes are always excellent; in fact, the prime rib was served hot this time, which is a pleasant surprise since it can sometimes be lukewarm from sitting under a heat lamp. I often find it surprising how compact the offerings appear, but they manage to fit a lot into a small space and keep it looking appealing. It can get quite crowded, and you might encounter some rude and hungry diners, but that’s a common issue with buffets in general. I’m not a fan of the seating arrangement overall. We were in a smaller room during this visit, which was nice for our large group, but the larger areas can get very loud and packed on busy holidays. They do a good job of maintaining cleanliness and regularly restocking the food. Lastly, the small vanilla dessert cups with the little chocolate balls are delightful and enjoyable, but I think they should also offer chocolate dessert cups. There aren’t enough chocolate options available for dessert. For a truly indulgent brunch, a solid dark chocolate dessert is essential—this feels like a missed opportunity, in my opinion."
