"This place may have gotten 2 stars if it wasn’t for their bartender. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the host who directed us to our seats on the patio. We came in for happy hour but was told that it was only at the bar so we moved. That was fine. The issue began with the rude service we received from the bartender. We weren’t greeted at all and we’re basically treated like an inconvenience. She just slapped two menus on the counter and that was it. We had to ask her for the happy hour menu. We asked her about their “well” drinks since we were unfamiliar with that term. The bartender, seeming to be annoyed by the question, explained it as just any drink with bottom shelf liquor. Okay cool that’s fine so we proceed to order margaritas. However, she then let’s us know that those wouldn’t be considered happy hour price, we only get liquor with one mixer. After doing some research of our own we learned that that’s not the actually definition of a “well” drink. The food came out at a decent time and was okay, it’s just unfortunate that their bartender had to ruin the whole vibe. We will not be returning."

"The appetizers that we ordered were great not my favorite pizza place ever, but the staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. It was cold when we went, but with all their outdoor seating, looks like it would be a great warm weather place. I would go back, but would probably try something other than pizza."

"If you are going to call an hour before arrival to confirm the reservation and ask if you need any highchairs or boosters suggesting you are family friendly, you might want to reconsider the music that gratuitously uses the N word and the F word. We had no kids, but I was embarrassed for the table with kids next to us. Either you are family friendly or you are not. If you are going to call an hour before arrival to confirm the reservation, you might want to mention that the gas grill is not working and that half the menu including more than half the appetizers, all of the sandwiches and all of the 'salads ' with grilled items are not available. If you are going to ask for drink orders, you might consider serving all of the drinks for all of the party at the same time rather than just nonalcoholic drinks prepared by the server while the bartender is still making the drink (as if the four active tables on a slow Monday night overwhelmed the bartender). If you are going to take an order for a Maker 's Mark Bourbon, it 's not a good idea to present the drink followed by a check with Bullet Bourbon on the check. If you are going to take orders for appetizers, it 's a good idea not to serve them at the same time as the entree. If you are going to pay someone to seat people, it 's a good idea to be at the front of the restaurant when they arrive rather than having conversations with the bartender and the server. If you are going to pay someone to seat people, it 's a good idea for the person to look up from folding napkins by the window to say thank you for your business when they depart. The sad thing is the food was pretty good. The service was friendly. But at the end of the day, no one taught this server some basic skill sets or how to perfect his craft. Friendly service is not good service and too many restaurants like this equate the two. Regrettably, I over tipped and said nothing. Been here several times. Not bad. Just not good."

"This is by far, hands down one of favorite places, bar, HH spot in all of DC. Once you find some street parking which could be troublesome on some days/hours, it's all uphill from there. So food: My personal favorite has been their salmon combined with their brussel sprouts. Not offered together on the menu but kind of like a mix and match...and it has been one of the best combinations ever. I also adore their arugula pizza. Again, amazing. So I have never been disappointed with the food. Wednesday they have all night HH. UHM, it doesn't get any better than that. Great drinks, great specials, all night?! SAY LESS. They also have great staff. The few issues I have had with my food were handled professionally and management was always accommodating. There's also a bartender there named Elliott who has crafted some of the best cocktails I've had as well as provided remarkable customer service every time I've visited. If you are looking for a place to grab a quick bite, go on a date, drink a little or drink a lot, a convenient location (there's a lot to do on H street), with great music (when they are playing music)...this is the place for you!!"
