"I ordered from Grubhub and got the King's Platter, paying extra for sauce on the side, but it was instead poured all over my plate and mixed into everything, even the boudain. I also ordered beans and rice, but the sausage tasted like something you’d get from a store. The beans had no flavor at all. The gumbo that came with the platter, as well as the extra quart I ordered, was terrible. I had called the restaurant beforehand to inquire about the gumbo, which is only listed as "gumbo" on the menu with no ingredients specified. I was told it contained chicken and sausage, but what I received was shredded brisket in a bowl with water poured over it—no vegetables, no roux, and no flavor! Who even makes gumbo with brisket? I’m never coming back. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, the employee I spoke with was rude and hostile, showing no willingness to resolve the issue. This was the worst $70 I’ve ever spent. Please consider going to King’s in LaPorte instead; this location doesn’t deserve your business."
