"The Chairman was once recognized as the best food truck in San Francisco, and that accolade was well-earned. We have always loved their food, whether at their location in the Tenderloin or from their food trucks. You could always count on high quality at reasonable prices, delivered consistently.
However, since the price hike, they've been facing significant quality control issues. We ordered three miso-cured tofu steamed buns, along with a burger and a bowl, from their Oakdale location. When I picked up the order, I checked to ensure we had everything, and it all seemed in order.
Unfortunately, once we got home, my partner took a bite of the miso-cured tofu and immediately noticed something was amiss. Upon opening the bun, we found a soggy piece of tofu with some sauce, but the greens (baby choy) were completely absent. None of the three buns contained even a single green. It was incredibly disappointing, especially after spending nearly an hour driving to pick up the food.
I've attached a picture showing the best of the three buns; the others were missing sauce as well. It's so disheartening that what used to be a fantastic experience has now become subpar—and more expensive!"
