"I have loved this place for many years and thought of the time I wrote a review. This Chinese restaurant has some of the most authentic, top quality Chinese food in the area. Our family lived in China for a year back in 1996 and the cooking techniques remind me more than any other Chinese restaurant in the area of food in us able to get in China. For example, Chinese Pea Shoots (Dou Miao), delicately fried with garlic, are often available for request and the Sautéed Shanghai Greens and Sautéed String Beans are also excellent. One thing we often miss is the vegetables in completely American restaurants... we can get what we long, skillfully cooked, in Formosa Taipei. Another dish I can never get enough is the Ko-Cha Dish, a magical combination of pork, squid, dried tofu with vegetables and a spicy black bean sauce... I feel I'm here in China with this one. I enjoy many of the appetizers as well as the delicate different Steamed Dumplings, pork naturally a favorite, but I also enjoy a lot the shrimps and vegetarians, the key here is that the tilting furs are not excessively thick, as is often the case in some restaurants here. Also the salt and pepper chicken is not to be missed; spicy and salty, but not saucy. I saved the best Spicy Noodles in Soup with Beef Sirloin. This court is unbelievable. You have to slow the meat for many, many hours to tender it and make a good soup stock; his just incredible. I never had his same place. Most restaurants just seem to shave some beef in the soup and cook it a little. If you have ever made shares and/or stew, you will know that this does not give you a satisfying broth. These are just examples. I still find new things that I have a lot of fun on the menu. I strongly recommend to get at least something from the authentic traditional Chinese section."

"Came in with my boyfriend to get some dinner after working all night serving other people and wanted to relax at what used to be our fav sushi place. Every time we go here there is one or two new servers so they're always learning but overall the food comes out decent and they are one of the only places open late to eat. Ordered 2 waters, a soda, 4 rolls and a veggie tempura starter. From the time the server heard our orders and grabbed our menus off the table she forgot the order that she didn't write down and I repeated it back to her, she still didn't write it down. 20 minutes later our sushi starts coming out and the server informs us she is new and accidentally rang in a roll instead of our tempura... we say no problem and continue to eat and after 15 more minutes a large plate of shrimp tempura arrives. We already overhead the server offer to pay for the first mistake and didn't want to be fussy so since we ate it we would pay for it. During the meal we ate half of our rolls while waiting for wasabi and when my boyfriend got tired of waiting for me to join him got up and asked the servers who were hanging out at the table by the front door chatting. At the end of the day I tipped her 20% but to be charged $14 for something I didn't order instead of the $6 starter is nonsense, especially when the server who admitted was new didn't write the order down in the first place! In this industry it's one thing If you want to not write the order down but you must absolutely get it right if you don't."

"This all-you-can-eat (AYCE) hotpot experience stands out because you have to serve yourself from a mini food bar. The only items you can specifically order are beef or lamb if you choose the least expensive Hotpot Buffet, priced at $23.99 for lunch and $28.99 for dinner. If you opt for the AYCE seafood buffet—which includes shrimp, sea mussels, crabs, red clams, salmon, cuttlefish, clams, sea snails, wagyu, tender beef, beef tongue, duck tongue, boneless duck feet, oysters, bullfrog, and scallops—it's $40 for lunch and $46 for dinner. There's also a station where you can make your own sauces and grab fried Mantou (Chinese sweet bread), sweet potato fries, and Youtiao (Chinese doughnuts). However, I found it disappointing that the sauce and dessert stations closed over an hour before closing time, especially since my group was still there at 9:45 PM and wanted to try the fried Mantou with condensed milk. On a positive note, they offered us ice cream to finish, with flavors including Vanilla, Chocolate, Mango, and Strawberry. Most of the canned drinks are complimentary, which I thought was a nice touch, so I enjoyed a can of Sprite and iced tea. My main issue with the place was that the selection for the Regular Hotpot was quite limited compared to what you could get at Laojie or 99 Favor Taste for a more reasonable price. Additionally, the beef took a long time to arrive, and the slices were cut very thin. Overall, it was a decent place for the experience, and I would definitely return to try their Seafood Hotpot. Also, I must mention that the chopsticks were notably large!"

"This place was recommended by a friend. It was not quite what I expected. I'm okay with the dated strip mall that it's in and even with the humble atmosphere of the place. There are a lot of divey looking places with great food. The premise of this place is kind of cool, but they have not done a good job at all and making the menu intuitive or even understandable. If you've never been there before you're probably going to be lost and you certainly aren't going to know what order or what quantities things come in.Looking around the restaurant everything looked pretty small portion-wise so we ended up over ordering. We ordered the recommended groupings of items (meats and veggies) which I definitely would not do again. Much better off picking the exact meats and vegetables that you want rather than relying on the groupings that they give you. Also, when it comes to the broths, my advice is just pick one and probably the first one on the list. Then you can add spices or sauces as you like. Instead we got two broths the first one on the list and then the second one which is basically a spicy version of the first one and then we got a bunch of spicy condiments that came with everything that would have turned the first one into the second one. So save some time and money and just get the one broth. Same save time and money and just get a few meat vegetable items to start. Things that you know you like. Then you can always order more if you still need to.My three-star rating is because nobody there was able or willing to really explain any of this at the restaurant. The menu doesn't explain it, the staff well extremely nice didn't seem to understand either. They didn't help at all with describing what the portions would be like before bringing them out. The broths basically taste the same and having one regular and one spicy honestly just ruined the regular one because the spicy one was crazy.I would eat here again, especially now that I know how things work and I could probably save $20 or $30 by only ordering one broth, taking the free sauces that come with a meal, and ordering the meats and vegetables al a carte. The food was definitely fresh so they have that going for them."
