"I am extremely disappointed in the portion sizes relative to the prices charged. I paid $32 for my meal and an additional $7.50 for four burnt Maduros that were poorly packaged. When I called to voice my concerns, they only offered me free Maduros for my next order, which is unacceptable. I believe I deserve a refund! They mentioned that the meal should have included eight Maduros, but even then, my dog eats better! The sausage was the size of my pinky finger. I will not be ordering from this place again. The images on their website do not reflect what is actually served. Proceed with caution!"

"I got a chicken empanada. I was disappointed by its texture and flavor. The dough was too sweet. I understand the desire to make a sweet/salty meal, but it was too sweet. I ended up not finishing it and my husband ate it only because he didn’t want tothrow out food we paid for. It also didn’t have a crisp texture. They gave us sauces that weren’t so bad. But they were sosticky it was a huge turn off."

"Good food /bad customer service...like anywhere else. Ppl on here complaining about the wait or the lines. ITS A BBQ /SOULFOOD spot, wth you expect. U want fast service, go to a FAST FOOD spot. And I agree with the place having ppl with bad attitudes, but they are no different than the ppl who smile at you while talking **** in a NICE way. Grow a backbone and demand respect. Id rather a person show me who they are rather than pretending to be someone else. This place has been in business for years, so one less customer won 't matter. Fyi...I am not from the 'hood ', but it aint nothing in the hood that aint in the suburbs! And if you don 't know what soul food is GOOGLE it. U can 't call mcdonalds and ask them to read off their menu can you? SMFH AT THESE REVIEWS"

"So delicious! Everything on the menu is fantastic. They have the best Chinese Chicken salad!!! We add avocado to it and its the best salad in Long Beach. Chicken Gray Bowl is extreme comfort food. When something happens that makes you feel like you cant eat, order the Chicken GRAVY Bowl or the Combination with Chinese Chicken Salad. Just do it. You will love it!"

"If you’re looking for authentic Haitian food, please do NOT waste your money and time at this place. I ordered rice and beans with chicken in sauce and side of Akra, my husband ordered the griot with rice and beans. The WORST place we’ve came across to buy Haitian food. The chicken, griot, akra, pikliz all TERRIBLE. I wouldn’t even consider this as Haitian food as a fellow Haitian. Long story short we both ended up pretty sick, I threw up everything and my husband’s came out the other end. Sad part about it is we didn’t even eat all of the food, thank God! May have spent the night at the ER. Disappointed isn’t even the word! For the sake of the rating scale, I gave it a 1 but in all honesty this place deserves a ZERO!!!!"

"We ordered the fried turkey and oxtails (not pictured because we couldn’t wait to dig in). The oxtails were bursting with flavor and incredibly tender, falling right off the bone. The turkey was cooked to perfection and just as tender. The service was excellent—everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Plus, the watermelon soda was the perfect refreshing complement to the meal. As newcomers to the area, we really enjoyed the food and are happy to have this place nearby. We’ll definitely be regulars."
