"Well I don't write very many poor reviews, and I hate when I have to. Let me preface this review with, my hubby and I are not foodies which in my world means we are not super duper picky but do know good food and value for food when we taste and see it. Anyways, in traveling to Texas our second stop was Tucum Cari (two word pronunciation is two words). Also refer to Yelp for food places which I did and saw it was a four star so I figured it must be good to great. My bad, as I should have read more of the reviews. And perhaps those that have reviewed either tasted or something ordered something different than us. First, the actual interior is very cute, kind of a kick back to the old days, cool vinyl covered half round booths, jukebox, very awesome pizza stove (see pic), people writing on all the bricks which are all around the walls, very open concept dining room (we took our food to go), and kudos to them because they have a booth honoring our POWs/MIA service men along with an great explanation of everything on the table and what it symbolizes. The bathroom was clean and one separate for men and women. They sell Blue Bunny ice cream on cones etcetera. On to the service, when we arrived we were the only guests and gave our order which consisted of one sandwich with fries. After a few moments then 4 other couple guests arrived. In other words our order was first to be ordered. We waited and approximately 10 min later wondered what why would a sandwich take so long to make. However we then noticed he was putting fries into our sandwich box so my husband contributed it to the fact they where supposedly hand cut fries. Maybe that is what took time. All in all, we waited 15 min or more for our one sandwich and fry order. Since you can see the kitchen there was only one guy preparing the food so he must have become overwhelmed with us and the 4 other customer's orders. Okay here comes why my review only is a two star: we get to our hotel room and open up our container and were so disappointed by the sandwich and lack of the filling not to mention the small amount of fries we were given (see pic) especially for the price $9.74. I can get a better and fully loaded sandwich for less at Subway or other places that make sandwiches. I'd say we had more roll than meat. We had to ask for the green chiles on the side and what we were given was definitely not enough for the entire sandwich. Now the fries were indeed tasty as they were hand cut and fried perfectly but the amount for the price was definitely not worth it. You get more fries at a local drive through and some are pretty good. Well needless to say, this will be place we WILL NOT be back to patronize, to bad it's such a small town and I'm sure is need of great places to eat for travelers."

"Not good! Front of house employees have a don 't really give a s t attitude. Food was mediocre. I give it 2 . You have to order it yourself at the counter and they will bring it to your table. Beer on tap is a total rip off! They give you a magnetic card so that you can choose your own beer handle. You serve yourself and then you take the card back to the register to pay for what you consumed when you are done. Be careful as they charge by the fluid oz. My IPA was advertised at .79 an ounce. At first I didn 't think much of it, but the after doing some math in my head at my table (16 X .79 , I realized that my 16oz beer just cost me 12.64. On top of that, I lost some of this very expensive beverage due to excessive foaming in the glass. I poured some of the foam out (as they do in most bars not realizing the per ounce fee. I 'm sure that this restaurant washes the beer glasses in the dishwasher. The detergent residue causes the beer to foam straight away. So, to recap: -**** employee attitude -Food. OKish. Sub par. -Beer costs 4-5 more per glass than you would pay anywhere else. -You have to pour your own beer and deal with the foaming. -And when you pay by credit card, the screen will ask you if you want to leave a 18%, 20% or 22% tip! So hang on here: -You go to the counter to order your food. (They will bring it to you. A plus! -You are on your own to get a beer. -And expect a tip at 18% ? -Who came up with this business concept? I gave the guy behind the counter my less than favorable thoughts about the dinning experience. He didn 't give a S t really, which confirmed my first impressions of the front of house. He must have been on multiple gummies? I left a 10% tip and will never go back. This restaurant probably doesn 't care though. I don 't usually write reviews, but this experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe it was the 12.50 beer which I had to serve myself and be expected to give someone else an 18% tip for doing so? Hope this helps the customer. And, good luck to the business owner with the business plan (con . Take the time to read the comments posted by people who have left 3 's and below. Most of the 4 or 5 ratings are Google guides who unfortunately seem to be more interested in getting their Google guide points vs writing an accurate restaurant review."
