"My wife ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was very hard and rubbery. It looked like the fish was too frozen when it was fried, so it didn’t even cook at all. The waitress was very nice and apologetic and got the manager that was on. The manager offered for a fresh plate or to order something else. My wife declined as she lost her appetite. The manager then offered a side of fries, which my wife agreed to. It would have been a decent experience except when the bill came, we were charged for the side of fries. We were kind of taken aback since we thought it was to make up for lack of entree. We didn’t say anything, just paid the bill and left. Overall, we felt like the waitress cared a lot more than the manager. The waitress’ service was great; the way the manager approached us and handled the situation is why we will no longer go here."

"I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF SERVICE!!!!!!!!!"

"Mario's Place is my new FAVORITE classy romantic upscale Northern Italy inspired restaurant. We dined in on a fully booked Friday evening with reservations made earlier that day. It's conveniently situated across from the Mission Inn Hotel. It wasn't difficult to find street parking when we arrived. So impressed with the care and attentiveness of their staff. Originally we were sat near the bar and when we asked to be sat in a cozier booth the manager Alan was able to accommodate us immediately. Our server Aaron and Billy provided top notch customer service throughout the night. Aaron made sure we had everything we needed. Billy kept us entertained and laughing with his quick witted comments from the friendly banter he and my date were having. We ordered a bottle of the Chianti red wine and it was lovely! We brought a bottle and I believe the corkage fee was $20-$25. For starters we ordered the fried calamari with tomato basil vinegarette and butter sauce which was perfectly prepared. The Wild Mushrooms Ravioli was so delicious and melts in your mouth. The Tortellini filled with roasted butternut squash, ricotta and sage butter sauce was absolutely heavenly. I ate every single bite and drop of sauce it was that good! Next time, I'm saving room for dessert. We will definitely be returning often."

"For breakfast, there was a charming character greeting; we got to meet Mickey and Minnie upon entering, and then encountered Goofy and his son Max cooking our breakfast. The meal included fresh fruit, pastries, various breakfast items, and drinks. I highly recommend the pancakes with macadamia sauce—honestly, they were the best pancakes I've ever had, and the sauce was so delicious that I wish I could buy it by the bottle. For dinner, we selected various items from the menu, and I can’t pick a favorite because everything was so good. One standout dish that I still dream about is the pineapple crumble topped with macadamia nuts. The portion sizes for both meals were generous, and they provided takeout boxes without us even having to ask, as you will definitely not finish all the food (except for that crumble, which I finished!)."
