"I ended up paying in $20 bills to avoid any further issues. I tried to speak with the manager, but he was not willing to listen to my side of the story. It was clear that he did not understand the difference between fake bills and real ones. He continued to be confrontational until his partner intervened and tried to speak with me. In an act of goodwill, I left a $100 bill as a tip, knowing it was genuine.
Despite the management's suspicious behavior, the restaurant has wonderful servers. I have since verified with Wells Fargo in San Mateo that all my bills are legitimate and 100% legal. I would consider visiting this establishment again because the hardworking ladies who work there are truly exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure that customers are happy. At the end of the day, the employees are the heart of any company. I believe in rewarding good service, so I will be Venmo-ing $100 to every bartender who served me that night. They do not deserve to be mistreated because of the ignorance of the owners."
