"We went to Timbuktu on the last day of our vacation after hearing from the hotel staff all week about how great the place was. My first warning should have been the kitschy decor and waiting area that smelled vaguely like urine. The prices were outrageous when you consider that the food was third rate and the mashed potatoes were fake! I had already had crab cakes the previous two days at other restaurants, so I ordered the salmon. It was bland and a little pungent , but I ate about half of it before realizing I wasn 't really enjoying it. My wife ordered the filet mignon which was $30 plus and had very little flavor and again, came with the fake mashed potatoes. I started to not feel well almost instantly and awoke in the middle of the night with full blown food poisoning! I was up all night wretching I 'm pretty sure I regurgitated my entire insides (including food I ate ten years ago) and after five days I STILL do not feel right. I would not send my worst enemy to this place and am still mad that my vacation was ruined by the poisoning I paid almost 40 dollars for. Avoid this place at ALL costs."

"Ordered chicken parmigiana and a small white pizza for delivery. Unfortunately, everything was very mediocre. The delivery time was updated about half an hour after I placed my order in the Slice app to be a half hour later than originally estimated. When the food arrived at the adjusted, later estimated time, the delivery person left it on the floor outside even though I never asked for that. Didn't even knock on my door to let me know so that I'd go out to get the food. I only knew because I heard the elevator. The pizza was cold and ok, but kind of bland. The chicken parm and spaghetti were hot at least, but not great. The chicken wasn't very flavorful; the spaghetti was extremely bland. I'm not even sure they salted the pasta water and the marinara just tasted like tomato with nothing else. And the spaghetti was all stuck together dry with the sauce just dumped on top. Disappointed. Maybe it's better eating there in person based on the positive reviews, but getting it delivered was not worth it at all."

"Was very good food and very good service. Was a bit surprised at the credit card surcharge surprise when my card was brought back. It would have been appropriate to tell me that will be added when my card was taken and given me the option to pay cash. Wasn’t worth asking about when my card was returned. I don’t know why business owners don’t include the cost of credit cards in the normal cost stack when figuring the price of their entrees since most people use and prefer credit cards."

"Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water."

"Basically a lunch counter type place in a shared space with several similar restaurants. Not sure if I had a fair experience of this as I got here an hour before closing, after two other oyster places I tried had closed early due to staffing shortages. The staff were nice but they were already cleaning up to close. The cocktail sauce was unexciting but they make a good tomato-based salsa fresca and there's a huge selection of hot sauces. The Maryland crab soup saved it. Their crab soup was amazing--the best I had during my time in Baltimore. It's different from the classic Maryland crab soup: more taste of celery and fresh-tasting tomato, less bean and vegetable matter generally, and really, really savory."

"Today, I was not a happy customer at the Lighthouse Restaurant and Dockbar. I checked the menu online, which listed a single crab cake meal for $23.00. However, when I received the bill, I was charged $36.00. A double crab cake dinner that should have been $54.00 instead cost me $54.00 for just 5 ounces each. I asked about this discrepancy, but the staff refused to honor the online price. As a crab cake lover, I found this very disappointing!"

"I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was terrible; the staff had an attitude right away. We placed our order on a single sheet of paper, which included two 2XL Chicken Cheesesteaks, a plate of Ziti, and two pizzas. While the adults' orders were taken first, we were later told our orders had been "forgotten." In fact, one of the waiters even suggested we were lying about the mix-up. The kids received their meals, as neglecting them would have been unacceptable, but we were left waiting. We did nothing to deserve this poor treatment and were polite from the start. I wouldn't even give this place one star."

"Becca was absolutely wonderful! The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, with lush greenery, warm lighting, and stunning decor throughout. Our waitress, Shyanne, was incredibly attentive and sweet. She had a great knowledge of the menu, and I truly appreciated that she was proactive in noting my friend’s allergies to soy and nuts before we placed our orders. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her customers and represents Becca in the best possible way. My friend’s birthday dinner was exceptional and will be remembered for a long time. I would definitely recommend Becca to my friends and family if they find themselves in Virginia Beach. The high level of service certainly matched the outstanding quality of the food and drinks! Thank you, Becca, Shyanne, and the entire waitstaff, for giving my best friend and me such a wonderful experience!"

"Mykonos just gets better all the time! We had a delicious dinner starting with the saganaki cheese elegantly presented aflame at our table. The Village Salad and bread were a delicious appetizer. I got the Branzino (superb! and it came with steamed vegetables and Greek potatoes. My husband loved the pastitsio and our other guests enjoyed the shrimp special, halibut special, and the swordfish special. My husband loved the Mythos beer, and one of our guests enjoyed a white wine from Santorini. The service was excellent and we loved the ambience as well....a real gem in Rockville."
