"What lowered my rating to two stars was my experience at checkout. I never received my bill at the table and found myself waiting for quite some time. I decided to approach the counter, thinking that maybe this location doesn’t deliver the bill to the table. After swiping my card to pay, I noticed I had been overcharged. It wasn’t a huge deal, so I respectfully pointed it out to the cashier. She instructed me to swipe my card for a refund, which I did, and then she reprocessed my order for the correct amount. Finally, I paid the corrected total, and we left.
However, a few days later, while checking my account online, I discovered that I had been charged both the incorrect and the correct amounts—neither of which was a pending charge; both had cleared. I tried to call the store to address the issue but didn’t get an answer the first time. The next day, I reached someone, but there was a communication barrier, and I ended up having to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Thankfully, the issue has since been resolved.
I wanted to share this experience so others can remember to check their receipts before paying. I take responsibility for not doing that myself, but I doubt the store will acknowledge their part in this since I wasn’t able to reach them successfully. Overall, it was a good dining experience with great food!"
