"This restaurant is fantastic—it's so much more than just a café! Almost the entire menu is gluten-free, and their gluten-free pizza is exceptional. The carrot ginger soup is incredible, and the pasta with stir-fried vegetables, including portobello mushrooms and baby spinach, is delightful. The chef is accommodating and prepares dishes to your liking, and he truly knows how to cook!"

"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"Food was very slow to arrive at table. When it did arrive, my main course was not hot. Needed to sent it back. Paella lacked flavor. We were told it served two people. It does not. It is a normal full-size serving for one. It was mostly shells and little fish and the rice was overcooked to the point that it stuck to the bottom of the pan. Pasta bolognese was acidic and actually tasted bad. The servers and hosts were all very personable so I feel badly for them. The kitchen has problems."

"Disappointing, and a bit flawed this time. Hostess greeting was very weak in greeting, and charged a guest a dollar for a paper mask he forgot ? Sam, the waitperson was very positive, fun, and overall good with interactions. Food: Burrata and tomato was overwhelmed with too many tomatos and vingrette prepoured on it, soaking all of it. Steaks overseasoned, a bit more fatty, and small for oz. Although we indicated a birthday via reservation no dessert offer was made, cake or otherwise... dinner was served, but one person waited for a salad ? Timing was long for time of day early evening pm. We like Del Frisco's and enjoy it, generally. Great to be able to eat inside"

"If you want your food cooked perfectly, this is the place to go. The chef is fastidious about his food. And he has good reason to be. A perfectionist in the kitchen, no plate goes out without it being exactly the way he wants it to be. Although your prior experiences may persuade you to do otherwise, trust him. I ordered a wonderful dish with breakfast, potatoes, cornbread, and an omelette. I am quite used to ordering cornbread, and cutting it in half, and putting butter on it. And so, I asked the waitress for some butter. I overheard the chef angrily replying that he does not cook with butter. That the cornbread does not need butter. before she came back, I tasted the cornbread myself, and saw that he was right. It was wonderful. Moist and delicious, not needing a thing. The waitress apologized to me, but I told her there was no need. Make sure you make a reservation."

"I try to be sympathetic to restaurant staff, as I know it's a hard industry to work in and there are definitely shortages in workers. However, this place was just BAD. Period.Service was ridicoulsly slow; a party of three of us spent nearly three hours there for dinner and there were only five other tables seated in the entire restaurant. It wasn't a busy night at all, so there's no excuses for such slow service. Our waiter ended up disappearing on us and our poor hostess had to take our orders after 40 minutes of waiting and no one coming to our table. We had to flag busboys down because no one was doing basic check ins for drinks water refills checks. Wait staff were basically non existent. Drinks were good, but food was mid. Pasta dish was dry and stuck together in a giant lump.If our hostess hadn't been so apologetic and comped us a dessert, I would have left a one star review. There are so many better local spots to go to in the city that provide better, more attentive service. Wouldn't recommend personally. Sorry!"

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without getting involved. She commented that it was nice to see children with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"Casa Mia was really really good, service to the food, the ambiance to the drinks, all of it was super good. The nachos were warm when served, the salsa had the right heat and spice to it and the bean dip was warm and good. The food to start with the chilli relleno was super good and unique. The base was a tomato sauce layered with skirt steak, topped with cheese stuffed battered chili and then a blob of sour cream. The meat was tender and flavourful. The chicken topped shrimp was very good. Chimichanga were good and finally the fajitas were heavenly. Overall a 5 ????? rating..."

"Good food and good staff. The owner tries to do everything because he said he can't help. Waited inranged time for review after twice. Never ask if we wanted dessert, even though they looked great. I never got a coke when I asked him with the food we had water. If you don't have the staff, don't pack the space that way. I don't know, but it's just blocks from my house. Maybe if it's slow, not at 6:30."

"Not impressed. The food wasn't awful; however it wasn't mind blowing. I opted to try the place out during its Lunch Buffet which is $19.99 I was under the impression that everything was included except with a limited amount of meats. Upon arrival I was told they'd only be keeping the buffet open until 3:30pm (it was a little after 3). I figured ok, I drove here already I may as well try it out. Now, as a long time foodie... I know how these type of places work; however the girl who tried turning us away didn't bother to explain. She also didn't explain that the meats were an additional charge (which is ridiculous considering that's the ONLY reason to pay that kind of price for a lunch buffet). The place had been empty and the dishes were all barely filled so I didn't eat much. The candied bacon was a joke... it was dry and had no flavor whatsoever. The meats weren't impressive at all the Picanha wasn't bad and the Gaucho was nice. The Lobster Bisque was watery... could've been good if it were creamy and not watered down. The woman... trying to rush the table... handed a check for over $70!!! That's when she said the meat portion was more. I had a problem with this and a gentleman was kind and adjusted the bill. The money wouldn't have been an issue had there been an actual dining experience, time to try enjoying it and most of all HAD IT EXPLAINED! What pissed me off more is the audacity to include a TIP on a bill at 20% when the waitress did absolutely NOTHING. Needless to say we will never be returning. Considering my reach and relationships with other restaurateurs across the country I would've rather had a great experience and felt comfortable referring people there. It's a shame I had high hopes."

"Our waiter stopped by in the beginning and never came back so we did not get to place an order for 40mins. It was after 2pm so not that crowded anymore so it did not make sense. After 35 mins, I asked the host and he said the waiter should come any minute so I had to ask the host to get someone. Then it took a while to get the check once we finally ate. It was so weird. There were people working there and the other staff was around except for our waitstaff. Also, if you are going to serve a tomato and burrata salad please use ripe tomatoes. It was an off day for this place. It is usually better."

"We were having a great experience until the check came. We had a off coupon and in gift cards that I received for Christmas. They ran the coupon and then got a manager to run the gift cards. She came back and told us that since the gift cards were purchased at a discount (think Costco), we could not combine two discounts. How would we know that the gift cards were purchased at a âdiscountâ and why should a discount to a party purchaser effect my ability to use a coupon? Handled absolutely poorly. Now that the gift card has been used, we will not be back. If you are thinking of giving a gift card at this restaurant, make sure you pay full price so there will be no chance the restaurant will dime you out that you payed less than full value for the gift in case the recipient toys to use a coupon... ridiculous policy."

"I was aware that they had live music in the evenings. The combination of great tunes and delicious food made for an enjoyable experience. The simple spaghetti and meatballs were very flavorful, and the eggplant rollatini was also quite tasty. I will definitely return. It was well worth the cost for the night."
