"The restaurant is up a flight of stairs. Be aware. The place is beautiful inside and must be terrific outside on their terrace in warm dry weather. The gin smash was great. We had the Hakka noodles with duck and the Chaing Mai Curry. Both delicious. I especially liked the Chaing Mai. The fried banana and ice cream desert is also recommended. A little over priced compared to other Thai restaurants in the area but the ambiance and overall value of food, service and price makes it a great meal out or date night meal."

"Missed restaurant week, however still visited Sambal this past weekend and it was really good. Venue has a warm friendly vibe, staff was alert and courteous and the options we tried were yummy. Love the rustic Southeast Asian theme of whimsical color prints mixed with exposed aged wood beams and playful bronze lanterns. Great location! Hudson River view!
