"The morning after the incident, while waiting for the tow truck, the owner of the building across from Concerto Fusion approached me. He told me he had seen the accident on his surveillance camera and asked if I wanted to know who had hit my car. Naturally, I agreed. He showed me the footage, which clearly captured the owner of Concerto Fusion crashing into my vehicle and then repositioning his car to make it look like he wasn’t involved.
The police visited the restaurant the next day and questioned the owner, who admitted to hitting my car. He was issued multiple summonses, as the damage to my vehicle totaled $8,000. Despite this, the owner has been ignoring calls from his insurance company, forcing my insurer to cover the costs. He claims he needs to consult with his own insurer before any liability can be determined, but with video evidence, a police report, and his own confession, his fault is undeniable.
If the owner is this dishonest about accepting responsibility for an accident, how can anyone trust him to handle food safely? I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
Update (July 15, 2019): The owner was charged with driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident due to how he staged his vehicle to evade responsibility. PENDOT has ordered him to surrender his license, and his insurance company is now being forced to pay all damages."
