"To make matters worse, I was charged an extra $2.00 for the French onion soup without being informed beforehand. I would have paid for it, but after seeing the small soup cup that was only two-thirds full, I regretted it. The soup itself was oddly sweet and overly salty.
I also had coffee and carrot cake. While the coffee was excellent, the carrot cake was disappointing—more like batter with no sugar, spice, or anything other than mounds of shredded carrots. The frosting was minimal but did have a bit of flavor.
In total, I spent $25.00, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The service was great, and I mentioned to the server that I would "doctor up" the cake at home, but she didn’t take any action on it. I wish I had taken a photo to capture the experience."
