"My wife went here to order the very normal general tos chicken. Before we went and we called and asked if they could make it extra spicy. We picked up our order got it all the way home only to find out that there were no napkins in the bag, no plastic wear No soy sauce, when we called to let them know they were not willing to work with us nor were they willing to refund us our money. And when you’re sick and know that your body needs spice that’s exactly what you’re looking for. Needless to say we were completely unhappy with this place, which is very unfortunate because we live local. We will definitely not be going here anymore.Hong Thai is way better. Food and customer service! J/s"

"I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The young man at the register was quite rude and even threw my change at me. It seemed like they weren't getting much business, as I sat waiting for twenty minutes for my food with hardly any foot traffic; most people opted for Domino's or Jimmy John's instead. I really wish I hadn't been craving Chinese food. The fried rice tasted stale, and the chicken was overly greasy. However, I did enjoy the shrimp and snow peas with garlic sauce, along with a side of white rice—those were good. Unfortunately, I can't support a business that doesn't seem to care about its service. I think it's time I learn to make my own Asian-inspired dishes, as the customer service just isn't up to par. "I LOVE this place! It reminds me of my childhood in NYC Chinatown. The service is fast and efficient, and the location is convenient to Gallery Place! The beef rice noodle crepe and the dried shrimp rice noodle crepe are the freshest I’ve ever had because they are always made to order. An order of each will cost you just under $7, which is amazing for a lunch in DC."

"The food is superbly prepared, and the prices are quite fair. However, I have one issue: we usually order around $60 to $70 worth of food and always ask for the basic sauces—soy, mustard, and duck sauce. Unlike every other Chinese restaurant I've been to, they never include these sauces in the bag. This should be a standard part of customer service. Because of this, I may think about dining elsewhere in the future."

"What I was very impressed about as far as Peking House is concerned was as follows; (1) I could sit at a table and enjoy my food. (2) The food was well cooked, tasty, and reasonably priced. (3) The air conditioning was on and set to a cool, butcomfortable setting. (4) I had interesting conversations with total strangers. "My family and I eat take-out from here alot because the food is always hot and fresh. But on today I was so disappointed! I ordered my food ahead of time and waited at home an extra 10 minutes so 30 minutes in all, well I still have to wait a another hour for my food. I was so upset and yes I wanted to walk out but I paid for the food when I arrived plus my son really wanted to eat it."

"Over priced and cheap on seasoning/portions. I order pork fried rice with wings combos and pork fried rice with rib tip combo, it came out to $32. I don’t mind paying more for better quality but the rice was bland and the meat could have used more sauce. It also appears that they flipped the container upside down because the food was on the smaller side of the container (the lid), see photo attached for a better understanding. The container isn’t as deep as the foam ones were and if you use it upside down as they are, you get even less food. Not worth the money. Parking: No parking, busy street and the restaurant is located in-front of a bus stop"

"Buffet style restaurant with additional menu to order from more dishes or spicer dish. All you can eat buffet does have a notice for excess waste of food posted on each buffet line that customer can be charged for that waste. Be aware of your children with this charge as the owners do enforce it. Have some American style food and desserts, but most of the food is oriental perpared and seasoned. Parking: Shared parking with businesses in the Stripe Mall area. Most of the time, there is plenty of parking. Time it may be crowded is during sports events, reunions of past graduated classes, or organizations meetings. Kid-friendliness: Children are serviced by parents from the buffet or monitored by parents from the buffet. Note that there are signs posted on the buffet line that therecan be a charge for high waste of food by customers. Wheelchair accessibility: Limited spaces nearby with ramp to sidewalk to restaurant. Tables in certain sections can be moved to allow wheelchairs access."

"I found this place since I was in the area and wanted Chinese for dinner. First, you can’t fully go in there, it’s a small room with a window and an intercom. Customer was quick and nice but the food wasn’t that great. The sesame chicken was okay and so was the egg foo young. The shrimp fried rice was hard and it had no egg in it and I can write an article on how I detest peas and carrots in fried rice….it doesn’t belong. The egg rolls and shrimp toast was meh. Will I return? No thanks, I’ll stick to what I know next time."

"Upon arrival my daughter and I was greeted and seated. We ordered the lunch special. We received a salad and a hot and sour soup.After 10 mins we recieved our main dish and the presentation of the food looked good. I recieved the schezuan chicken it was dry, the fried rice was burnt, the chow mein was VERY soggy and the spring roll was hard.My daughter ordered the same except with broccoli beef. Her experience was the same as mine. I asked if we could get a meal replacement and the person who took our order acted like she didn't understand what I was requesting.Needless to say I paid for our meals and we both left hungry. I do NOT recommend this place, there are better options around the area."

"The food was barely lukewarm, and all the meat was overcooked and tough to chew. I understand it’s a buffet, but I pay the same price at a nearby Chinese restaurant where the food is hot and fresh. I hesitated to leave a negative review, but my fiancé is now home feeling sick after our meal and won’t even eat dinner. I managed only a few bites before I had to walk out and wait in the car. I hope my review helps others who are looking for decent, fresh, or even warm food since this place does not deliver. I'm incredibly disappointed, and we wasted about three and a half hours of our day driving and eating here, in addition to spending around $46 on a terrible lunch."
