"Just a few hours after dining, around 9 or 9:30 PM, I went to bed, only to be awakened at 11:30 PM by severe abdominal pain. I experienced vomiting, extreme nausea, and body aches. The intensity of these symptoms was alarming, prompting me to go to the emergency room on March 31, 2024, which happened to be Easter Sunday. My situation was serious enough that I required IV fluids to address dehydration from what was diagnosed as food poisoning.
Despite initial treatment, my condition did not improve much in the following days, leading me back to the hospital due to my inability to keep food down and a persistent feeling of illness. This ordeal has been physically exhausting and emotionally distressing, given the seriousness of food poisoning and how it has affected my health.
I share this review not to unfairly criticize Ristorante Gamelli, but to bring attention to a concerning incident that others should be aware of. Food safety is crucial, and I sincerely hope my experience is an isolated case that encourages a thorough inspection and necessary improvements to prevent similar situations in the future.
