"We stopped at this restaurant along the 118 in the San Fernando Valley to revisit flavors we hadn’t enjoyed since childhood. Our Lebanese neighbors used to share dishes from their homeland, like stuffed grape leaves. Having grown up in an area where hunting was common, we were excited to try something new. We shared platters of quail, chicken shawarma, rice, creamy hummus, and homemade pickles. The owners were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was contemporary and bright; before long, the place was bustling with lunchtime customers. There was easy access to the freeway and plenty of parking on the day we visited. It felt refreshing to break away from our usual burgers and pizza and explore different culinary options."
