"One star for concept and two for speed of service. The lady who greeted me at the front wasn 't particularly friendly. And she wasn 't happy to hear me asking about oat or almond for my chai... Which came out as a poorly mixed drink with the tea syrup collected at the bottom. Why brand yourself as a cafe when you don 't and don 't want to do that well? Alternative options are standard now for any place that routinely takes a lot of orders. The pastries looked nice, but day old at least. The dull glaze on them . Dry flakiness. The venue has poor lighting, so anyone working on a screen should be faced one direction generally. There is an easily visible wifi password at the entrance for customers. Amongst the 8-10 small tables, 3 were dirty as I looked for one, and most of the objects around showed a fine layer of dust. The counter is so layered in product it 's not getting wiped properly and some items are so dusty they look outdated as a result. I will say the Spinache Florentine was a good start, but had no gruyere flavor I was expecting. Likely microwaved, it was quite hot in the middle and cool on the edge The quiche crust was pretty flaky, but the plating was a joke. They peeled a cutie, sat it on a tiny lettuce leaf and gave me two 1 slices of dry bread with a single tinfoil packet margarine. I can tell that this is a mom and pop shop, and I do really wish them well, but with a tucked away storefront, a less than friendly shop, and sorta ok I guess food I hope they 'll continue to get the chance to continue to improve."
