"The food, Lionel (their head chef), and the staff here are the absolute best. This is an intimate sushi spot with a bar that’s perfect for a date night. I’d recommend springing for a tasting if you can. They have an incredible array of sake that they’ll pair to your desired meal upon request, and the plum sake we tried was the best I’ve ever had. Beyond that, not only is the food fantastic, and I mean really fantastic—not one course missed—but Lionel is such a great chef with whom you can converse (and I’m awkward beyond reproach so the fact that he made us feel really comfortable was the best). We tried a little bit of everything—fried tofu, 3 types of sashimi, wagyu, duck, fried chicken, 2 rolls, a rich icecream specially made by a local shop for Kiitsu paired with a matcha sauce, and real, Japanese mochi ice cream—all chosen by Lionel. We couldn’t pick a favorite. If you’re considering going, just do it!"
