"Tldr: Don't plan on going following a Texas game We wanted to grab dinner and drinks for a couple of hours before a show of Lincoln Hall and I'd liked all of my visits of OGS in the past- seemed like a no-brainer. Our reservation was right around when the Texas game ended and it was pretty wild (perfectly fine, I'm a huge college football fan and totally get it). Service was pretty slow but we weren't rushing so all good. My primary issue was that once the game ended, the DJ started... at It was louder than any bar/club/concert I've ever been to, and my husband and I eventually gave up trying to talk since we couldn't yell any louder and there was no chance of hearing one another. We ate and watched another game in silence (not counting the raging nightclub music) and were told in the middle of our meal that we needed to cash out because our server wanted to go home. Also not an issue, as I've been in her shoes, but it was super pushy and I don't really enjoy being told what to do while being mid-bite. She ran my card and brought it back in the span of about seconds, which was definitely the most attention given to anything throughout our visit. Another server never came by to offer more drinks or check on the table, even though the initial server said there would be someone available, so we gave up waiting and went to the bar. Should have done that from the very beginning because the experience was infinitely better once we moved."

"My wife and I came for lunch. We ordered the Sampler Plate. 4 meats. 4 sides. 2 breads. For our meats we decided on: brisket, spicy sausage, pork, and ribs. Sides: Mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, and creamed corn. Bread: corn bread and garlic toast. It was definitely enough food to feed two adults. Atmosphere was nice. We liked to decor. My wife liked that they had Coke products. Because we smoke meats at home, we are always a little critical about going out to eat for BBQ. The meats in general were on the drier side. Not bone dry, but not super juicy either. The seasoning was underwhelming. Basically tasted like a slightly smoked meat. I described to my wife that the meat tasted like a combination of gas and wood was used to create the heat and smoke Pork definitely needed sauce. Ribs were competition style . Not fall off the bone, but had a bite to it. Which isn 't bad, just a different technique, but don 't expect super tender ribs. Sausages were decent. Not that spicy. Brisket was cooked well. Tender, but still on the dry side. I don 't think we could choose one meat that was our favorite. They were all about the same. The sides were, in our opinion, better than the meats. The corn and Mac n cheese were creamy. The beans had chunks of meat and were tender. (Not chili beans. But legit BBQ beans). The potato salad was spot on. I 'm not a fan of any corn bread, but it was dry according to my wife. Garlic toast was good. We tried all of the sauces: house, hot, Alabama (white), mustard, Carolina sauce and sweet. Sauces were good. (If you don 't know what sauce goes with what meat, you better educate yourself. LOL)."
