"That was just the beginning of the disappointment. I was really hungry and couldn’t afford to order more or go anywhere else since I don’t have a car. While picking through the chicken for anything edible, I found a small piece that looked okay, but the bourbon sauce was unusually thin. I’ve had bourbon chicken before, and the sauce is normally much thicker. I decided to try that piece anyway, but the taste was definitely off—it just didn’t seem right.
I had my fiancé try another piece that wasn’t pink and seemed safe, but he said it was too salty and also noticed something was off. By then, I was already using the Uber support app, snapping photos to get a refund for the undercooked chicken—I wasn’t willing to go through any more of it.
While the food sat on my lap, a bad smell started to linger. At first, I thought it came from the sauce, but when I took a closer sniff of the chicken itself, I was hit with a terrible, rancid odor. I had been served rotten, undercooked chicken for dinner. I couldn’t believe it.
Accidentally serving undercooked meat happens, but this was completely unacceptable. The foul smell was hidden by the sauce, and I wish others could have experienced how awful it was. If I had to put up with that stench, others should be aware of it too.
I will never order from this place again. I’ve reported the entire incident to Uber Eats with full documentation. This is a serious health and safety concern. A restaurant serving rancid, pink chicken should not be in business. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I strongly do not recommend eating here."
