"Sunday br .... errr .... lunch. Had heard some great things about McAdoo 's Sunday brunch so headed over there today after church to give it a try ... only to find out that they dispensed with their brunch offerings about a month ago.<br/ <br/ Ordered a 1/2 dozen gulf oysters as an appetizer. In addition to the usual accompaniments (red sauce, horseradish, lemon, tabasco, crackers), the oysters were served with a nice light vinegar-based dressing that helped to cut the briny-ness of the oyster. A nice touch, and the oysters themselves were large, fresh and delicate. Oh, and I got the baker 's half-dozen ..... 7 oysters. A nice touch.<br/ <br/ My wife ordered a crawfish platter with 1/2 fried and 1/2 etouffee. The fried crawfish tails were lightly battered and (thankfully) not overcooked, as they can often be. Just right. The etouffee was spicy to my Yankee wife 's taste but on the bland side to this Texan 's taste .... so probably about right, if they had been mine I would have added some tabasco to heat it up.<br/ <br/ I ordered the 'stacked ' seafood salad that was as delicious as it was beautiful. It had a remoulade-based dressing and the romaine lettuce was indeed 'stacked ' with shrimp, crabmeat and lobster, along with tomato and avocado wedges.<br/ <br/ All the dishes were delicious and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. Service was also very crisp.<br/ <br/ All for about $40. This is one of the two or three best restaurants in town."
