"I really wanted to love this place, and fully expected that I would. However, we were really disappointed with the food. We both ordered typical dishes you'd find at an Irish restaurant, figuring that this place would have these recipes down to a science. Nope. My friend had fish and chips, which were kind of tough. I couldn't figure out if they were cooked from frozen, or just overcooked. Some of the coating was mushy. They just didn't look and taste fresh. I had the beef pot pie which was nothing special, the Worcestershire sauce flavor was way too strong . However, the shrimp cocktail was great, the shrimp were very fresh. My friend ordered a basic salad and it was nothing noteworthy but it had varied ingredients and it was a large portion. The worst thing about the meal, however, was that they had a party room next to us, and even though there was a partition dividing the party room from the rest of the bar, we may as well have been sitting inside. The music was so loud my friend and I could barely hold a conversation without yelling across the table. Since I had called and made reservations ahead of time, they should have mentioned this at the time of the reservation. Even though it was a Saturday night, in no time at all the bar literally had nobody in it. I can only imagine everybody just tried to escape the pounding music. What famous neighborhood Irish bar is empty on a Saturday night?? I guess the proceeds from a booked party, are greater than the proceeds from a room full of people drinking. I don't know. On the bright side, the staff was very nice, and the waiter bartender gave us a couple of beers for free and was very friendly. Unfortunately, the minuses outweigh the plusses here, and we won't be back. Oh, and they had no Bud Light. They ran out, he said. Again very few bars that you can't find a basic Bud Light."
