"I tried the Lobster Benny special, served on grilled cornbread instead of the usual English muffin, based on a friend's recommendation. It was absolutely delicious! Some meals come with toast, home fries, and a choice of coffee or juice included, and the portion sizes are quite generous. They also serve iced coffee.
The server, who I was informed has been with the restaurant for a long time, was attentive when she was nearby. We didn't require much beyond our orders, and she remembered everything correctly. She did check in to see how our meals were but didn’t return until she possibly noticed we had finished. A quick check-in during the meal would have been nice, but overall, the service, food, and ambiance were fantastic!
A quick tip about the specials: your server might not mention them, and there isn’t a special menu sheet provided. Instead, they're written on a chalkboard on the back wall, which can be tricky to read from the entrance or waiting area. During my visit, the specials included Lobster Benny, biscuits and gravy, and pumpkin pancakes.
