"I ordered food off of Uber eats. I specifically added a note stating no duck sauce, extra, extra soy sauce. I got my food delivered, there was only 2 packets of soy sauce in my bag when I have a whole pint of chicken fried rice. I called and explained and the lady who answered the phone was very rude, she laughed at me after I explained that 2 sauces isn’t enough for a all the stuff I ordered including chicken wings and a egg roll. I asked her what was funny and she just kept laughing and cut over me and said bye bye. This Chinese place used to be my favorite place growing up and it’s saddening that it has turned into experience such as this!"

"Our favorite local Chinese!. We have been patrons of Hot Wok for a couple of years now and find their food to be well worth the price, crisp and fresh, and ample in portion size! A couple of times a while back we ordered with employees who really didn 't understand English, poor dears, and ended up with incorrect orders. But that was a long time ago, and since then we haven 't had a problem with communication, even with some of our picky modifications in ingredients and spice levels within the dishes. Now...I am a Yankee by origin and back home almost EVERY Chinese restaurant delivered...so I guess I was spoiled. Sometimes the only thing to cure a Sunday hangover is some fried rice and a nice spicy veggie dish...but the half mile drive to the place is just too much to bare (especially in these LA summers). If Hot Wok would offer delivery, my lazy butt would probably order twice as much...just sayin '."

"Finally! We've been looking for a good Chinese takeout restaurant for awhile now. We just moved to Norway and wasn't sure if we'd find a good Chinese food place around this area. The food was fresh, tasty, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the hot and sour soup not much in there besides the broth... It's takeout only at this time."

"As a pregnant woman, I have been longing for some tofu noodles and this restaurant fulfilled my cravings perfectly! I ordered the General Tso's tofu, veggie Lo Mein, and a pork eggroll. The tofu was excellent, the General Tso's sauce had a delicious and slightly spicy flavor, and the Lo Mein was so flavorful. The portions were ample and satisfying. I will definitely be returning to this place as it exceeded my expectations. The photos show what I have already devoured and I still have enough leftovers for dinner!"

"I placed a pickup order and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes, then the call ended. When we arrived, they informed us that they only accepted cash and directed us to their ATM, which charged a $4 fee. They even suggested we go down the street to find a 99-cent ATM instead. Ultimately, we had no choice but to pay the extra $4, which felt unnecessary, especially since I was not informed in advance. Given the circumstances of the pandemic, I did not expect cash to be the only payment option. I would not recommend this place!"

"On Monday, November 13th at 8:30 PM, I dined at the restaurant with my 2-year-old daughter. To my surprise, I was charged $28 for the two of us, despite the website stating that adult dinners cost $14.95. Children under two are supposed to be charged $3.00, so I’m confused about the total. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, and the older gentleman who seated us was quite rude. Moreover, we received the check at our table at 8:55 PM, even though we were still eating. Overall, I would rate the service, food, and atmosphere a 1 out of 5."

"I would actually give this restaurant half a star. The only positive aspect was that the food arrived hot and the delivery man was respectful. I ordered shrimp lo mein, and was disappointed to find only three small shrimp in it. The egg roll was supposed to have pork, but I only found a small piece of it. The majority of the filling was cabbage, with large pieces rather than shredded. I had ordered from this restaurant once before and found the portions to be lacking, but I thought it was a one-time occurrence. This second experience will be my last."
