"POSITIVES: Don 't let the name fool you, this place is chock full of options besides sushi. Whether it 's curry, rice, noodles, teriyaki chicken, a bento box, or a variety of ramen, this place offers lots of satisfying options. The appetizers are equallytempting : edamame, calamari, gyoza, takoyaki, etc. As far as sushi goes, this place nails it with a blend of great flavor andawesome presentation. I ordered the colorful Playboy roll (fried shrimp, salmon, tobiko--tiny fish eggs, and jalapeño andthe Phoenix roll (tempura shrimp, eel, avocado, salmon, jalapeño, green onion, sesame seeds, teriyaki sauce, and spicymayo. . This roll was unlike anything if ever been presented with at a sushi restaurant...trust me, it is very exciting andworth every penny. The Japanese decor and theme is very friendly and inviting. The waitress was extremely polite andknowledgeable. Also, the mochi ice cream is fabulous, and you can 't go wrong with it. NEGATIVES: the menu was covered ingrease from someone fingers... Not sure if the material just attracts grease really easily or something... Also, there was aBOGO 50% off for all sushi rolls... I only ordered 2 rolls myself (one was $15ish, the other would have been about $7 with theoffer , and I somehow still walked out paying $30, aside from tip. Still not terrible, but not what I had expected. PRICE:expect to pay $15-30 per person depending on how much food you get. VERDICT: it was a fun experience, and I 'm definitelycurious about some of the other sushi rolls (and curry! It 's love to come back, but given the price, I may have to wait untilmy work takes us out so it 's on their dime."

"After a few times we went there and didn't wanted to wait in such a long line, we finally got our chance to visit this high rated restaurant. (They don't take reservations) This time we only waited about 10 mins then got sat. I was very excited to finally trying this place due to its great reviews. This is a very small and kinda unique Japanese restaurant. It only has 7 tables including 4 or 5 small tables. And a half sized sushi bar. Usually small sized sushi restaurants are the most authentic ones. But this one was a disappointment!First of all, they don't have anything we loved on their menu items. Things like uni, toro, salmon belly or even a oyster shot. Their menu items are extremely mediocre. The sashimi on their sashimi plate were bigger cut but quality was just very so so. They do have lots of special rolls on the menu but unfortunately we're not big fans of rolls. We want good quality and different variety of raw fish (sashimi) when it comes to sushi. Second they were out of half of the appetizers on menu. We didn't have many choices so we can only get tofu and tempura. Third they're very limited on their sake list. I believe I only saw 3 or 4 different sake to choose from. Lastly I hate to say this. But the food there are extremely salty! (Not the sashimi and sushi). But the couple rolls we ordered, they were salty and very heavy sauced. And the tempura udon, omg! I felt I was drinking ocean water. It's that salty! Why...??Anyways service was ok. The 2 waitresses were nice enough but they were too busy the whole time. So it was hard to try to get anything from them. Sushi chefs had no personalities.Guess we were too excited for this place after all. Bill was $180+ including 2 sakes for the 3 of us. But the whole experience.. What a disappointment! We probably won't be back here again.."
