"This was our third trip to Whiskey Prime. Our first two experiences were lovely, this last trip was extremely disappointing to say the least. What is the purpose of making notes on a reservation if no one is going to read/pay attention to them. It is a rhetorical question of course, the reason is so you don't have to tell the entire dinning room that you are gluten free so don't bring the bread, and you are there to celebrate a special occasion... My husband and I both had the 8oz fillet, medium, with loaded bakers, and the asparagus. The steaks were cooked as ordered but they were extremely dry and flavorless. I tried smearing the butter from the bread basket on mine to give it some lubrication but it was useless. My husband's steak was equally bad. One should never have to order 3$ steak sauce to make fillet mignon edible. The potatoes were ridiculously huge, easily 3 times the size of the steak and barely warm enough to melt the butter. The service was sub par as well. We ran out of water mid meal and were never offered more, no offer of a second cocktail, and no offer of dessert. And the waiter dropped my husband's fork in his lap, tines down covered in not quite melted potato butter. When we mentioned the disappointing steaks we were simply told they would let the management know even though the steaks were sitting on the plates barely touched. We opted to get a doggy box for our steaks so at least our dog could eat them. It was a not so happy birthday meal. "We walked in, went up to the girls behind the counter, said we had a reservation for 2 6:45. Our names were in the book, no problems since we were the only people in the restaurant we had a choice of any table we wanted, which great. The girls, Louise Amanda were so friendly, personable, eager to help us w/ deciding off the menu. The one downside was limited soda choices. Second, they did not have frog legs, bc they were out, ONLY bc they like to use the freshest ingredients the frog legs were not up to the chefs standards. For appetizer we started off w/ Arugula's clam special which was OMG delicious! Flavorful not salty. None of the food was salty, a huge in our book. So, if u like salty, this is not the place for you. The second appetizer was Tuna Tartare which was presented so beautifully. The flavors of the tuna, fruit, homemade pesto were to die for. Then came salad, which was a little too vinegary, but still delicious bc of the fresh julienned apples-which were a fantastic palate cleanser. Time for the main course-I chose the Lobster-2 lobster tails out of the shell over bucatini pasta w/ baby scallops in a delectable subtle vanilla sauce-heaven in my mouth. My husband chose Tiger Shrimp over rigatoni in a red sauce. The shrimp were big juicy. The sauce was smooth flavorful. We were full therefore did not order desert, but the deserts sure sounded good. Overall, our experience was excellent would recommend Arugula. BYOB"
