"I have visited Yamanja Brasil several times and have always had a positive experience, until my Valentine's Day visit on 2/14. The restaurant was unable to handle the high volume of customers on Valentine's Day. My wife and I waited for 3 hours from the moment we sat down until we left. We were able to quickly enjoy drinks and a delicious appetizer of mussels, which were promptly delivered. However, we waited two hours for our main courses after ordering them along with a bottle of wine. When I inquired about the delay, the owner mentioned that the small kitchen was struggling to keep up with the volume. I understand that wait times can be longer during special occasions, but I would have appreciated better communication from the staff. There was no acknowledgement of our long wait time until our dishes finally arrived, and even then it was the wrong order which I had to wait an additional 5 minutes for the correct dish. If the manager had made a gesture to apologize for the wait, such as offering complimentary wine, appetizers, or a discount on our meal, I would have given this visit another star. Despite the issues, I will likely return to the restaurant in the future, but I would recommend avoiding special occasions like Valentine's Day."
