"We ordered the green chilli enchilada casserole and stuffed sopapilllas with red and green chilie. I got the calabacitas and potatoes as a side instead of the rice and beans. The calabacitas and potatoes is a much better option than the rice and beans in my opinion as it's just more flavorful and less bland. The green Chillie casserole is fantastic. The stuffed sopapillla with beef and red chilli is probably the best stuffed sopapillla I've had in 15 years. The red chillie sauce is so deep red and has the best deep heat that slowly accumulates in your mouth. The green Chillie beef sopapillla is just as good. Hatch green Chillie is great on everything. The mamas green Chillie enchilada casserole was really good as well, and has almost as good of flavor as some old style recipes that take 6 hours to cook. But this one's ready in 20 minutes. So it's a home run. Definitely will return Everytime I'm in the area. Keep up the great work! Edit: We ordered again Monday night as we only really want good NM food when we come visit. I'm an old NM native who lives in Santa Fe for 25yrs. The Frito pie was terrible. Just yuck. This should really be a stand out dish. It should be made with an old NM style pork red or green Chillie sauce. Fresh onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream What I got was a can of wolf brand chilli on Fritos. There is no other place that has Frito pie in the world. And to see it so poorly made is an absolute disgrace to NM culture and cuisine. See the picture."

"Fidel's is a Solana Beach staple for good Mexican food in a family setting. I've enjoyed going to Fidel's many times over the years however since COVID the prices certainly have increased noticeably and the service, while still very friendly, is slower than it once was. Given the prices and service, I just don't go as often."

"On Mother's Day. Place was full. No tables available. The cashier who worked there for 33 years told us a table is available. I looked at her when she was standing at a table ready to eat. She spoke to them and we sat. Chips were fresh and the salsa was spicy. I had Sunday Special, Chicken Fajitas, $7.95. Lots of chickens. The onions were sweet like sugar, the tortillas were hot to keep. Wife had the Enchilada dinner too much to eat for them. Our waitress was always our glasses. Mothers received a LARGE strawberry for the desert. Somehow I managed to get one. Next time we travel on Interstate 10, we will stop again. . Family friendly place ."

"My family and I went to Fajita House tonight. Overall, I was pleased with our experience. We tried the 12 enchiladas special with a mix of beef and chicken. While my husband didn't go back for seconds on the beef enchiladas, my child asked for more. Personally, I really enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, rice, and charro beans. The only downside was the cheese dip, which was not authentic queso but instead a cheese sauce from a can mixed with water. Despite this, I would definitely come back to eat here again, although I do wish they had a better queso option available."
