"My wife and I love to eat here because of the quality and authenticity of the food. We just moved to the area and have not had one single meal here that we did not absolutely love. All the Chinese is perfectly authentic, as is the Thai and Japanese and it's hard to believe that they got it all right in the same place, but they did. We write a lot of reviews on here and we strongly encourage you to give them a try because you'll always go back. Also, the prices are modest enough to lend themselves to take out via door dash or similar. We love to dine in, but when we can't, we take out! "Came here soon after they opened and there was no wait for seating. We ordered shrimp and veggie tempura, Naruto, salmon torch roll, and dynamite roll. Tempura: 5/5 It's probably one of the best I've had in MA. The batter is so light but yet is so crispy. You don't feel like you're eating a thick coating of batter nor does it taste oily at all. Naruto: 5/5 this was so refreshing to eat with the slight tang of the sauce and thin cucumber wrapping Salmon torch roll: 5/5 I loved this, it was so good! I didn't even need to dip it in any soy sauce or wasabi Dynamite:4/5 still very good, but felt like it was a lot of sauce when you bite into each piece. Love the slight crunch of the outside rice. Service is decent, our waters were filled, and they took empty dishes away promptly before the next dish came. Definitely will come back to try more items on the menu!"

"I came a for weekend lunch with my wife and daughter. We ordered a variety of signature sushi rolls and shared everything. The sushi was delicious! We loved everything we ordered. The service was a little sporadic and disjointed. There was no dedicated server and the staff didn't communicate well. We ordered hot tea and they brought us all ice water. We waited to see if they were going to bring tea as well but they never did, so we asked for it and then they brought it. The water had a little bit of an unpleasant taste. I think the ice gave the water a little funk. Ice machines are usually filthy and full of mold and mildew, so I like to avoid it whenever possible. Another critique was that the food took a long time to arrive. We waited 30 minutes for our sushi. The restaurant wasn't empty, but it wasn't super busy. Maybe they prioritize deliveries? I don't know what it was, but 30 minutes for sushi rolls at lunch time regardless of weekday or weekend is just too long. We were hoping to be in and out in an hour and it took an hour and twenty minutes from the time we walked in until the time we walked out the door, so be sure to pay for the full two hours on the parking meter. 4 Stars for delicious food alone. I'd like to give 3.5 stars because of the service being below average."

"Wonderful little spot. I was from out of town, here on work. Was in the mood for Sushi and so glad I chose Fuji Grill. The food was amazing and fresh, the rolls are displayed beautifully. Highly recommend. Didn't try the Hibachi but the private booths are a really nice touch"

"Genki Ya is the best restaurant in Davis Square! Very healthy and affordable food. I lived near Little Tokyo in Los Angeles for decades and was elected to the local neighborhood council in the district. I haven't had Japanese food that's this good since I left Los Angeles. I especially love the broccoli (the sauce is very unique) and the salmon (perfectly cooked crispy outside and tender inside). Quiet and relaxing environment with Hawaiian style music playing all the time. Extremely kind, compassionate and friendly owner and staff. The broccoli salad is amazing and after I eat the sashi mi my brain almost always works better. Elaine (I Ling), Paul, and everyone else at Genki Ya always treat me like a friend and a neighbor not just like a customer passing through. Genki Ya is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood and I plan to keep coming here whenever I am in the area!"

"Excellent food, service and venue....can be a little loud, and a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for (and if you're able to do happy hour, then all bets are off its great! . "I been eating here for a while. My son loves the sushi there and it’s always nice to go but today was a little different. I have a two year old as well and he has autism which causes him to stim (for the ppl the have no knowledge a stim is a self-regulatory behavior it can be of all types) my son in particular sounds like loud humming (ahhhhhhh). I understand it can be loud but there is nothing I can do to prevent it. He stims in and out not constantly. While waiting for our drinks he was stimming and the waitress approached me and asked me to quiet him because it was “disturbing my(her) customers”. He wasn’t running around, he was sitting on our table writing on a paper. Although I understand it can be loud, he was not doing it intentionally or for a long period of time. The restaurant itself is not a quiet restaurant to begin with. I was able to make him stop by giving him my phone thankfully but what would have been if that didn’t work? I did explain it to her. I just hope she learns something from this. I am not saying she had no right to approach me, just a different way with more respect."

"I had previously enjoyed a different location of Sushi House, so I decided to try this one. The menu here was different and had fewer vegetarian options, which I accepted. However, I had an unfortunate experience when the server accidentally spilled food on me while packing our dishes at the table. While accidents happen, what was unacceptable was that he tried to blame me for it instead of apologizing. He showed no intention of removing or discounting the spilled item from our bill, nor did he offer to replace the food that ended up in my hair, lap, and on the floor. Furthermore, he appeared visibly upset when we requested a replacement for the spilled portion and rudely discussed our table with his coworkers in front of us. This experience has left a bad impression, and I won't be returning to this location again."

"I dined here on my birthday, and it was a disappointing experience. My meal was overcooked and excessively salted, which I had to share with strangers at the table. As it was my birthday dinner and I was the one paying, I expected better service. However, the chef seemed indifferent, only engaging with me to make lame jokes. He prioritized serving a guest who was getting a complimentary meal, giving him half of a dish meant for three. When I took a bite of my food, I noticed a staff member watching me and laughing, which made me uncomfortable. The dish was overwhelmingly salty, leaving me with a bloated stomach and a headache. I felt it was necessary to say a prayer before eating here. In the end, there was no complete refund offered, leaving me with a bill of $130 for a meal I couldn’t eat—strangers ended up enjoying it instead. Happy birthday to me!"
