"Our first visit was my son's 13th birthday. This is a cute little place that stays busy. I'd been eyeing it for some time now. Overall the food was good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The teriyaki dishes initially all came out cold but the manager quickly remade each dish and we enjoyed them as well. Our server was attentive and more than accommodating. She truly made our first experience memorable. My only critique is that it was freezing in the place. I will return."

"I loved it. I know my fish and this place is #1. The hardest working sushi cook, too. I saw that the man delivered an order every 2 minutes, I sat there for 40 minutes. If I'm back in this area, I'll always come back here! My buddy has the beef teriyaki and he loved it!!"

"I had been going just for Eggs Norwegian Chef's Special 2 Poached eggs, Smoked Salmon, creamy Hollandaise sauce on Homemade Brioche. lol, they already know me because I also order a baguette with the amazing homemade jam with Goat cheese with coffee just Delicious !!!! Anytime i show up with my family or by myself everything is done perfect! They also deliver and it gets to you warm and exactly like at the restaurant ,great service Who will complaint when you have a piece of France in Miami Beach? I just love this place!"

"This place used to be my go to. But I’d rather get some rolls from Raley’s or Safeway. Way too much rice on their specialty rolls so it’s basically all rice, very little seafood. And the winding dragon had very sad slices of fish on top of the roll(the roll on the left) This place used to have wonderful sushi, and now it’s just sad. Plus when I picked up the food the interior of the restaurant smelled really weird, which is probably why everyone eating in was seated outside. I seriously believe that none of their chefs have ever truly learned how to make sushi"

"As a Navy member, I've experienced my fair share of sushi, and I have to say, nothing has quite compared to the Kayla Roll I had at this place. It completely redefined my idea of a favorite sushi roll—I never expected to be so impressed! This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! I also agree that the staff is fantastic, but I can't believe that the incredible rolls aren't getting more attention. They're absolutely mind-blowing!"

"Food is good but customer service is awful! Last night we ordered two rolls for pick up.We did it while we drive home from bay area.We call 1,5 hrs before to get home because every time we make order we waiting it at least this time although they told us by phone that order will be ready in 30min.It happens three times like this already!When we was 5 minutes away from restaurant we got phone call and woman asked me to pay over the phone.I asked why and explained her that we will pick the order and pay in restaurant in 5min.Instead saying ok she start arguing saying that She dont trust me!!!it put in shock because for 30 years living in this country I never heard that someone saying their customers We dont trust you!!!!When i pick up the order inside I ask her why you dont trust me.What I did wrong and instead to hear some appologies she continues argue with me saying that she dont trust any customers here!!!When I said to her its not appropriate to talk to your customers like that she said if you dont like this place find another one.Yes lady and I did it.Mikuni sushi more expensive but they respect their customers and never ever will say something like you did!!Thanks for awful customer service Mizuki!!!"

"This use to be our favorite restaurant. But they have truly cut corners and the atmosphere was dry. First our appetizer was served warm and the sauce was cold very unattractive softshell crab two orders). Complete turn off. Then for our raw fish roll I ordered the Ophelia roll and the King roll. That was not salmon and if it was it was horrible. Half of my Ophelia roll was pink appearing salmon and the other half bland pale colored some kind of fish. The Ophelia roll also was suppose to have softshell crab in it but that was a joke. The King roll was nothing to jump after but it was a 3.5 which is edible. The $1 dollar drink for ladies was not impressive. It was like a $1 Mike's hard liquor.I just know Oshima can do better. But we are all going through tuff times. I hope they can get back to what they truly can be which is amazing. Good luck to them."

"This restaurant serves incredible sushi and has a varied menu, so you really can't make a bad choice. The atmosphere is welcoming for families, and it seems to be family-owned and operated. The staff and management are very friendly, and food orders are prepared fairly quickly. I tried the beef teriyaki, which isn’t on the official menu, and rated it 4 stars because it was a bit overcooked, but I think that can be easily adjusted. Overall, I’m giving the restaurant a strong 5 stars, and I appreciate that it stays open late, especially since many places in Jackson close early."
