"I am doing this aside from my food blog because I live in this area….This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Vienna area. I’ve tried the trendy places in Mosaic /bad parking), and some of the regular Vienna spots like LG and CV… they’re all good but they feel robotic and all about business. But this place just gives me a feeling to come back, that family mom and pop feel, a brick and mortar vibe which my whole family loves. The staff and owners just have that take-care-of-your-family-first charm. Make sure to order their house spicy oil on the side, gives a great flavor any dish even when I’m cooking on my own). Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options like most Chinese/fusion restaurants Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly, very nice staff and accommodating Parking: In a plaza with a massive parking lot so even if restaurant is near full there is plenty of off-street parking"

"Absolutely terrible. This restaurant is a complete joke. The food tasted like it had just been reheated in the microwave. I should have taken the hint when I walked in at noon on a Saturday and was the only customer there. Clearly, everyone else has figured it out. After spending 15 dollars, my trash can is now overflowing with Chinese food."

"This was the most dissatisfying and disappointing dining experience I have ever had. The meat was tough and overcooked, the fried pork was dry, and the chow mei fun lacked flavor. Furthermore, the portion sizes were significantly smaller than other nearby Chinese restaurants. If they are charging $10 per serving, they should provide more substantial and enjoyable meals. This is especially important if they want to retain customers and stay afloat during the pandemic. My advice to them is to improve their food quality in order to survive in the current climate."

"Order at counter, pay and the robot will bring the food to you. This is nice when you don’t feel like talking. The food comes out really fast. Regarding the food, the portion is good but the Dragon Phoenix is almost cold and I’ve definitely had better sesame chicken. The sushi is just OK I should order the specialties next time. It’s good that we have 2 bowls of soup which are at least warm and filling. The milk tea is quite good. Overall this might be an ordering mishap. Because of the robot’s route I can see what others have ordered and everything looks better than ours. I will be back just for the tea and maybe try some other sushi entrees."

"First time going here, walked in and placed a decent sized order $110.00) and was told 40 minutes. On the expensive side and long side of wait times for Chinese food, but ok. Wound up waiting 57 minutes for food to come out. They seem to need more help. All that being said, all the food that we ordered was fresh and delicious. On the expensive side for the portion size, but I would definitely go back as well as recommend this place."

"Happy Family with garlic sauce is fantastic! The thin wontons are real, not the thick, fake ones I've encountered elsewhere. Absolutely delicious! I love the food and the service; I've been dining here for years. The flavors remind me of the authentic dishes I used to enjoy in Chinatown and Flushing, Queens. Great stuff!"

"Don't judge a restaurant by its location. The Singapore noodles here are outstanding. The shrimp is large and of high quality, while the fresh bean sprouts add a wonderful texture to the dish. The fried dumplings are also impressive; despite being fried instead of pan-fried, I was willing to overlook that because the filling was absolutely delicious. The fresh herbs in the meat made them some of the tenderest dumplings I've ever tasted. Consider yourself fortunate to find this gem next to a 7-Eleven!"

"I wish I could bring my Taiwanese mom here! Helena was a wonderful hostess, and she and I were the only ones there. She mixed up a tasty black tea with lychee flavour. I admit that I expected a different type of bubble tea than what I received, but it was delicious regardless. (Assi in North Wales, PA is what I 'm used to, for anyone who knows it! I 'm newer to the beverage, really. I seriously can 't wait to go back to Lavender Cafe to try more of their massive and very diverse menu. I never find places offering rice cake, so I 'm hooked! They offer hot pot and vegetarian friendly dishes too, so there 's zero excuse to not come here to enjoy the food. Absolutely worth it! Oh, and BE POLITE, don 't expect the few available staff to be able to do dine in whilst the phone is ringing on a busy weekend dinner rush, AND LEAVE A GOOD TIP!!! Seriously, don 't make it harder for awesome immigrant-run businesses. Support more good ones like this!"

"Abacky is an average Thai and Japanese fusion sit down restaurant that is run by Chinese people. The place is clean with a decent looking decor. The prices are very reasonable too for Chelsea with entrees being around $12-$15. They even have generously sized bento boxes for $16 for lunch (or $18 for dinner). The food is not authentic tasting for their Thai or Japanese offerings though. We tried both cuisines and felt that the food was a little bland. It was not horrible but lacked the correct amount of seasoning and flavor. They have a small section of Chinese food as well on the menu. We did not try any of those dishes but they would probably fare better."

"I’m so disgusted the fact that I had 3 cheese wontons and the third one had a that piece of plastic in it on top of me ordering chicken cashews with rice and the chicken wasn’t even chicken I got chicken on the stick and that is the same chicken they use for the chicken and broccoli never again first and last time and I’m definitely calling 311 $40.00 on filth"

"If you’re craving Chinese food, this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit! It’s a cozy spot that serves delicious dishes at great prices, giving off a true diner vibe for a Chinese restaurant. We tried the wings, egg rolls, and soup during our visit. The wings were impressively large and cooked perfectly—crispy outside and juicy inside. The spicy flavor, boosted by jalapeños and grilled garlic slices, really made them stand out. They seemed marinated too, which added to the fantastic taste. The egg rolls were above average—not too greasy and packed with more meat than you usually find elsewhere. The hot and sour soup was enjoyable, and the miso soup had a unique twist compared to the typical clear white kind, offering a different flavor that I actually liked. All in all, we spent just over $10 for 4 wings, 2 egg rolls, and 2 soups—a great value for a satisfying meal!"

"I am not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have lived here my whole life and have ordered from this restaurant multiple times. They are always good and never let me down. The new staff is also very friendly when I call in my order. I'm not sure what people expect from a Chinese restaurant in NYC. It's fast food, but the prices and quality are great. I have never had anyone be rude to me in all the years I have been ordering from them since they opened. Additionally, I have never had to wait long for delivery. I call directly to the restaurant, while others may be ordering through third-party apps."
