"Ginza Japanese is a small (family-run? restaurant on Lexington Ave. between 61st and 62nd. It is a quiet little hole-in-the wall place that has excellent sushi--which is why I went. The sushi was quite fresh, not overly priced. The service very good. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants quick, affordable standard Japanese fare in a quiet little NY restaurant."

"I visited this restaurant on a Friday night with two friends for the all-you-can-eat sushi. We were initially offered a corner booth by the hostess, but upon sitting down, we found water and crumbs on the seat and ground. We decided to move to the adjacent table instead. Shortly after placing our order, we overheard a departing party at the table next to us murmuring about spotting a mouse in the restaurant. I didn't think much of it at first, but just before our food arrived, I saw a baby mouse hopping around on the ground, eating leftovers at the table we initially sat at. I pointed this out to the waitress, who clearly saw the mouse as well since she was standing right next to me, sharing the same line of vision. Shockingly, no action was taken. The restaurant staff pretended nothing had happened and, to our disbelief, even set up a mahjong table to enjoy after closing. To make things even worse, they automatically added a 20% tip to our bill for a party of three. This experience was absolutely appalling and ridiculous to say the least."

"I absolutely love Ichibans! The food is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The only issue I have is that they use bar soap in the bathroom, which I find quite unhygienic. Normally, I would mention it, but the staff is so lovely that I don’t want to hurt their feelings. Instead, I always bring my own liquid soap when I go there for dinner."

"I've visited this restaurant numerous times, and the food and service are consistently excellent. We started with the shrimp and sausage gumbo; my wife ordered the Poppyseed Salmon Salad, and I had the grilled trout served with dirty rice. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Our server was fantastic and made the experience enjoyable. Although our meal was brief due to other commitments, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return!"

"The atmosphere and service were enjoyable, but the food was disappointing (the scallops tasted fake). There was no sushi available, which they explained was due to their sushi chef being ill. However, based on previous reviews, it appears that their sushi chef has been unwell for quite some time. We still had a fun time with family, but we’ll likely seek out a different hibachi restaurant in the future."

"Very nice tucked away place. The entrance is not on the front. You have to either go down the white stairs or drive down the side lot to the bottom section. The entrance lighting is dim and there is a water feature with fish in it. You can see some people chose to toss in coins. The staff greets you and takes to back to the hibachi section of the restaurant. We did pass a bar I guess if you go for drinks. Once in the back the ask you to scan the menu and place an order. We just verbally gave out order. We had the teriyaki salmon and vegetables. Upon the lighting of the first flame you could feel the heat of the fire. It was a great experience and our chef was funny. The teriyaki salmon was so good I recommend it to you. Sorry no pictures I was hungry lol. We didn't have dessert but they asked. You can try this spot for an delicious intimate meal."

"Unfortunately my appetite was ruined by the sight of cockroaches crawling on my plate. The Chef tried to make it right by wrestling the plate out of my hand before the other guest could see. To his credit he did bring us out new plates. But thedamage was already done and I couldn't build back up an appetite. In addition to the roach show... I mean hibachi show thehostes at the front door did not present herself in the best light. As we departed the establishment she was observed on thefront desk super relaxed with her feet kicked up. The place did not look clean and did not give the appearance of a restaurantthat was cared for. Bottom line not a professional look for a restaurant. This place needs to be inspected by the department ofhealth."

"Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning. I’ve been a patron for nearly 20 years, but it seems the restaurant is under new ownership now. Despite the owner's comments, the recipes have clearly changed. None of the dishes we ordered resembled what we used to enjoy; the meat was bland, dry, and lacked flavor. The side dishes were decent, but there were far fewer choices than before, and some of our family favorites were missing. While the service and atmosphere have never been the restaurant's strong points, the food always made up for it. That’s no longer the case. I wish them the best and hope things improve, but for now, we'll be exploring other dining options."

"Georgia, oh Georgia! Scrumptious Southern fare. With a last-minute reservation, I came here on a Tuesday night with 6 other people (2 children and we were seated right away. Service was extremely friendly and fast. I highly recommend the Appetizer Sampler which is good for 4-6 people or 2 people as a decent meal. While every item was great, the standout, hands-down were the Devils on Horseback (bacon-wrapped dates, goat cheese, and oil and vinegar . Then I super enjoyed my Carolina Gumbo- a rich stew full of spicy andouille, okra, duck, shrimp, chicken, lump crab meat, and rice- WHAT?! Leftovers reheated well the next day. For dessert, though we were all full af, we all took spoonfuls (or more! of the Brioche Bread Pudding. Their food packed with heart and soul keeps Georgia Brown's on my mind. NOTES: Wheelchair-accessible, clean restroom Street parking mildly available, several parking decks close by."

"Been going to Sammy's Fish Box for many years. I must say that this time I was a bit more disappointed than ever. The reservation was good and I was seated immediately. The server that came was a female who said she was going to be my server. She never returned and a male said he was now my waiter. Ok. He wasn't as attentive as I was used to being a customer all these years. Needless to say the service was slower than usual. The back area where I was seated looked as though it had recently been painted and the lighting updated. That was a Plus (although the paint job was a bit sloppy around the red pipes). I noticed the food prices had jumped about 20 dollars more for the feast for 2 plates since last I came here. When the food came,. I was a bit disappointed to see that it appeared the amount of seafood given had been reduced and it appeared more spaghetti was in its place. That didn't justify the price increase at all. Skipped on dessert because the bill was a bit more whopping than I had anticipated. Also there was a child screaming loudly the entire time 1 table away. Hence the noise/ambiance rating being lower. Truly wish everything (except the decor) would revert back to the way it was at least 5 years ago. (More food, more affordable prices and spectacular service). It's just not the same Sammy's that I recall. Just being honest."
