Martinis made to perfection, steak frites so so good. The room looks great and a special thank you to Emma, one of the best servers in town, who we're so happy is still with Absinthe, along with a core group of all stars. "For almost 10 years this place has been my top place for dinner. Excellent, consistent and always a good time. From the lovash pizza, brussel sprouts, fish, parpedell to dessert. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Specials are always great. Steak is one of the best in the city. Fish is always fresh. Great patio menu for bites drinks (sliders smoked potatoes and okra are few of my favs). The staff is wonderful; will accommodate for any food allergies easily. Love this place for date night, girls dinner or company affair. A hidden gem in the city that has been around for a long time.You don’t need to get all dressed up; but you can if you like! Chef Gilbert is a gem and will gladly pull up a chair and say hi."

"I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF SERVICE!!!!!!!!!"

"This was my first time dining at the New Yorker and I will say I was not very impressed. For a restaurant that is known for their filets and sirloins I was very disappointed. First off after receiving our soups and salads we waited almost an hour before our meals came out. The kitchen was backed up because of a new wine pairing menu they were offering for the first time that night. When my filet finally did arrive the bottom was charred and inedible and the filet was cooked to a medium instead of a medium-rare which I had ordered. I would have sent it back to be redone, but I did not want to hold up the rest of my party so I could wait another 45 minutes to get another filet. Definitely not worth the $50+ that I was charged for the filet. Definitely glad that this dinner was paid for using a gift card because I would have never paid for that quality of food without it. But I decided to give 2 stars because the waitress was very nice and kept apologizing for the delay. Also I usually do not mind having piano played in the background while at a restaurant, but when the pianist starts to play the Mario theme song, it definitely ruined the atmosphere that was there."

"We hosted some friends from out of town and thought this would be a great spot to enjoy good food, great service and an atmosphere that allowed us to converse without yelling at one another. Masraff's delivered on all fronts. We arrived about minutes early to have a cocktail at the bar. The bar staff was friendly and accommodating. Once we hit our reservation time, we were seated promptly. For dinner, we started with east coast oysters for the table. They were great! Our group ordered a couple of Prime rib-eyes, a Bison rib-eye and the Meyer Lemon Chicken Chop. Our proteins were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Carmelized Asian Mushrooms and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for the table. Everything was fantastic! The owner checked on us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, the experience was perfect. It was great to catch up with old friends and take them somewhere that impressed them as well. We will most definitely return"

"My husband and I had not been to Jeffery's in many years so decided on it for our date night. First, if you want to eat at Jeffery's (between 6-830pm) you'll need to make a reservation several weeks in advance. I don't know if it's that popular or if they hold tables back for walk-ins. The service was great, attentive but not overly bothersome. However, very single person who approached our table (probably 4 different people) spoke so quietly that I could barely hear what they were saying. There is music but it's a perfect level; I just think the staff is very soft spoken. The food was delicious; every single thing we ate was amazing. We shared the deviled eggs, Ceasar salad, hamachi, ribeye, pomme puree, and the basked Alaska. I would have gotten the chocolate soufflé but I wasn't aware of it until it was too late (in the evening). The basked Alaska was our least favorite item but every other item was just perfect. The pomme puree was probably the best potato I've ever eaten!!! We would love to go to Jeffery's weekly but it's SO expensive. Plan on a dinner for two bring $300-400 plus gratuity. We will save Jeffery's for special occasions only."

"This place is crazy over priced for the food but it was really, really good, absolutely worth it and just an awesome experience. Overall, the service (hostess and waitress), the DRINKS, the ambience, the atmosphere, the experience that my wife and I wanted were overly satisfied.. Don?t get me wrong though- I knew what I was getting myself into with the price. My wife ordered the 20oz bone in steak well done and I ordered the beef Wellington. This is my second time having a rare steak and I gotta say- it was delicious (this time). My wife and I enjoyed the food, sides, drinks and our wedding anniversary cheesecake. The waitress was able to hold up a conversation and was knowledgeable about the different foods on the menu and was able to give us a recommendation. Shout out to the restaurant for complimentary champagne for our anniversary. Definitely made us feel special. I would recommend this place as a celebratory restaurant and I would go back again."

"We enjoyed a Sunday evening out with our son and his fiancée. The service was warm and friendly, all the way from cocktails to dessert. The menu has lots of options for all types of dietary styles. The chef offers specials that sound appealing and are not something already found on the menu. We sat on the patio as the weather was finally not too hot to be outside. It’s such a nice atmosphere and we were able to sit near the water. A lovely evening, and the owner was engaging and making sure we were having a good experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for everything from a romantic evening out to a special celebration!!"

"Lola's is a favorite restaurant. Always try the specials. Last night, New Years Eve, we had one of the best steaks ever that was a perfect cut of meat cooked to perfection with mouthwatering roasted garlic mashed potatoes. The awesome lobster mac and cheese was very creamy with hunks of lobster and crusty breadcrumbs on top and the tuna tartar had a nice spicy kick to it served with seaweed wraps. All outstanding. "the lamb sheds (2) were boiled, I had ordered them “medium” but they were very raw inside, much fat on them and not much meat! no nice came with it, only kartoffels, which I had to order a local dish (mushrooms in burgundersoße.) I could hardly finish a lamb chopper, which I almost crocheted on the raw meat. appetizers (rohomes and bbq garnels) were very good. the apple cake came into a pan and was very good, but only a small vanilleeis."

I made a reservation stating that this was for my friend's birthday and that we needed to be out timely because we had a show at the Colonial Theatre to attend. Not only did everyone acknowledge my notes, but they delivered exceptional food on time and also offered a complimentary car service to bring us to the theatre to ensure we were on time. This level of service is a rarity in Boston or anywhere. Hats off to all of the staff for a fab evening!"

"If Vidalia’s food service are to entice new customers during Restaurant Week, it worked. Food was well balanced innovative. The goat rouladen was amazing with layers upon layers of flavor. Shrimp grits had nice flavor though the shrimp was a bit overcooked. Dessert wine, pure pleasure. Service was relatively good (waiter forgot to bring the coffee until after we ate dessert) and Vidalia’s elegant atmosphere enhanced the pleasure of dining here. All in all, I would return and thank the restaurant for serving such high quality food for Restaurant Week. Much appreciated."

"This charming Italian restaurant has an old-world feel that transports you to another era. Despite the snow outside, the restaurant was not crowded during lunch, but the food was outstanding. The bread was freshly baked and delicious, and the homemade minestrone was light and aromatic. The shrimp dish was excellent as well. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter surprised us with a delectable dessert adorned with a chocolate message. We will definitely be returning in the future."

One thing that I didn't find fitting was the man (kitchen manager perhaps) dressed in a western style shirt and jeans, big ring of keys jangling from his belt, leaning over the kitchen counter tasting something with a spoon. I thought his appearance took away from the elegance of the dining room. I'd have preferred he was wearing a uniform or chef garb."
