"Dined here for a birthday a loooong time ago so this is an old review. That being said, I'd always avoided this place because of pricing but it was a really lovely experience! I was absolutely blown away by how good the food was. One of those meals that makes the whole table moan. The wine service was good, too. When we had too many questions for the waitress, they had a Som on staff who recommended a dry reisling, which we'd never even heard of before and were skeptical, and wow it was good! Perfect pairing. I'd check this place out for a date or a special occasion. Or if you can afford it then I'm sure you'll love making this a regular dining choice."

"I've visited this restaurant several times, and my most recent trip was on October 21st for a repast lunch after my cousin's passing. I’m not certain if it’s family-owned, but every time I walk in, I feel a comforting sense of family and belonging. The place is always spotless, and the food consistently impresses. I'm planning to return for Thanksgiving and am really looking forward to sharing more time with family there. Enjoy!"

"Love the ambiance of your restaurant. From walking up the stairs with the waterfalls cascading down the walls and looking up to the ram on the mountain above. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The waiter Matthew did a terrific job and was very friendly and personable. We all ordered the sunset meals which were affordable yet delicious plates and the wine was also very good. Thank you!!"

"We liked the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole was quite spicy. Each of us ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then swapped so that we could taste a variety. We were served promptly, which is great for those with evening plans. Our only issue was that it was quite loud, making it hard to hear each other at our table."

"Friday night is a very busy time so that the dinge were a bit slower than previous visits, but not a real problem. jason took care of us. the crab cakes I think have made a step up, maybe more crabs and less not crabs. the alleged ahi Tuna Appetizer was as always excellent. the escaped were also very tasty might have used a little more soße on the drunk smoked tyloin, but the taste was great. crab filled garnels were really good and the seasonal vegetables were delicious and plentiful. we miss the weeping flights they used to have some years back. all in all, a very pleasant evening meal; we will be back in the future."

"We had planned to visit Konoba for Mother’s Day but couldn’t get a reservation so we visited last night. The food and service were both excellent, the best we have experienced in Huntington since the start of the pandemic. We feel like other restaurants have been cutting back on quality and quantity due to inflation but it was obvious that wasn’t happening here. You might pay a little more but you can tell that they put a lot of effort into what they are doing and the portions are large enough for leftovers. Very unique food and flavors you won’t find elsewhere and presented beautifully. Try the bureks and lobster ravioli, make sure you try the Croatian wines and beers, you won’t be disappointed, and we already made our next reservation."

"The food itself was quite good, but there were several items we wanted to order that were unavailable. For instance, the soup of the day was beef, and our waiter needed to return to take a new order for soup. I also wanted Italian dressing, which they didn't have, and when I asked for butter for my green beans, I had to wait ten minutes. My spouse had to remind our waiter about our order on multiple occasions. Additionally, my spouse ordered a burger without the bun, which was supposed to come with fries, and also requested a salad. The waiter took it upon himself not to include the fries but never checked with my spouse about whether he wanted to replace them with something else, like the salad. Overall, my birthday dinner was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. We've had good experiences at this restaurant in the past, but this visit left us very disappointed. I would like to see the Carriage House Inn invest more time in training their staff, as it seemed that our waiter was ignoring us as well as other tables."

"The food was very good, as was the service. My big complaint was I had a 10% discount off card holders FOOD BILL . For the four of us, my total bill with drinks, appetizers and side upgrades (which all of us managed to pick? , came to over $200. The discount total on my food bill was $4.80??!!?? I was told the 10$ off was only good for my meal, even though the card says FOOD BILL . That 's just total misrepresentation!!"

"The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly. Although the prices for the main dishes were a little high, the quality of the food definitely justified it. "Hostess didn't know how to confirm reservation told me the system was broken then said the restaurant was under new mgmt and they didn't tell her anything . That was after she told me it would be a 40 minute wait and I was surrounded by empty tables. The manager finally came had us seated and our server was terrific! I stopped another young lady on the way out and told her that I wanted to confirm my reservation was confirmed with open table and she saw it immediately and took care of it. Hostess should be trained or let go. She probably was just ready to leave and had to stay because of the 3 employees that came in all together late."

"Zucchini ribbons were a let down. Seems a lot of people are also experiencing this as they were overcooked and there were so few for the cost. Zucchini is one of the cheapest veggies this time of year, heck, I can’t give it away from my garden right now. Everything else was delicious. Shrimp bisque and corn and crab chowder were both delicious. Salmon salad had a huge piece of perfectly cooked medium salmon. Catfish tacos also had a large portion of fish on each. Sitting outside is fabulous but I do feel the service is not as good out there. It seems they tend to forget about you outside. Cocktails were pricey but on the stronger side."

"First of all, this restaurant DOES NOT have a bar. They have a wine list, but you are able to bring your own liquor (hard liquor, beer, and/or wine). My mom and I shared a bottle of sangria, AND we were able to take it to go when it wasn't finished. It came with fruit on the time and a pitcher of ice. It was BOMB.com ! I started with some lobster bisque. DELICIOUS! This was so good that my mom got her some to-go. Nice pieces of lobster and the soup itself was radiant in flavor! The caesar salad was pretty good but the croutons were salty. Sans the croutons and it's everything you need it to be and it doesn't need any additional dressing to go with it. My mom also ordered the clams casino and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ended up getting the stuffed shrimp. The shrimp was stuffed with real crab meat almost like crab cakes without filler. I am going to get this EVERY TIME I come here. The mashed potatoes tasted like they may have been instant but I would get them again or possible sub them out. I like the vegetables, also. It was something different! The restaurant looks so cute on the inside. My mom had seen it from the train and the back makes it look like a regular0degular restaurant but it's quaint and smells wonderfully when you enter the building. We were pleasantly suprised. I will be back when I'm in NJ."

"I was looking forward to a nice, Saturday, dinner out with my guy. We dressed for the evening and drove from Kent. Our server was friendly, but the overall experience was really underwhelming. The menu had an Asian flare (not Mediterranean as the website indicates , drinks were not mixed well, the decor is very basic, and the food was just not good (overly sweet sauces, overcooked fish, etc. I enjoy a good meal and don't mind paying for it. District just doesn't execute well, so it's best to go elsewhere."

"We love the food here, but the service this time was not to pardon. Our appetizers were never put in. We could have tasted the lobster bisque. We ordered drinks, but there weren't enough glasses. We were able to hear the conversation that the server and bartender, fortunately, had offered the server for hand washing so that we could be served. "From start to finish, our experience was flawless! We had an 8 PM reservation but arrived early and were seated immediately. We decided to share several appetizers instead of having a full meal, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. We ordered the wagyu, bao buns, octopus, crab cakes, birria tacos, and more octopus. I particularly enjoyed cooking the wagyu at our table. One small suggestion would be for the server or food runner to guide guests on how to prepare the meat. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the attention to detail was impressive. Our server was excellent, always available whenever we needed her!"

"We came for my boyfrienda birthday. It was extremely disapppointing. The food was awful and over priced. There was also limited selection. The caesar salad was terrible and full of the ier yellow lettuce that made it bitter. I hadnt been to the restaurant for years and it has significantly gone down hill. I was speaking to an acquaintance and he had the same opinion.Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forget to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he did give it.Truly was a waste of moey but more importantly ruined the birthday celebration."

"We got the Samurai sushi, Prasino burger and truffled potatoes. The sushi was amazing as always and the potatoes were seasoned well and also good. The last couple times we have been the burger has absolutely no seasoning and needs salt. The other flavors on the burger are amazing but the meat was not seasoned at all ."
