"This place is so close to being 5 stars, but just didn’t quite make it for me. Though that may be due to the items I got. I started off with the Gyoza which were absolutely amazing. Perhaps the best gyoza I’ve ever had, and I would gladly order dozens more. Unfortunately, the entrees were less impressive. I got the sesame beef, and my partner got the sesame chicken. The sesame beef seemed to be breaded and fried beef pieces slathered in their sesame sauce. And their sesame chicken was a sort of puffed chicken, what you’d expect for sweet and sour chicken, and then covered in the same sauce. The beef itself was not bad, but it was so overwhelmingly sweet that it was hard to eat, and the breading really soaked in the sauce making this problem worse. The chicken did not soak in the sauce as well, so the sweetness was a bit more tolerable. However the chicken itself was not great. It felt like it was more dough than chicken, and I would have preferred the chicken to be breaded and fried more like the beef. That said, I’ll definitely be back to try this place again. The atmosphere and service were phenomenal, and I think a different entree probably would have been way better."
