"We visited just before sunset without a reservation after exploring Old Town. The restaurant is about three blocks from the center. We sat on the tapas-only side at a table, and our server, Kevin, was truly professional. Our experience here was nothing short of perfect—though it would have been even better with a live mariachi band, which was absent due to COVID. Still, the ambiance was authentically Spanish. My husband enjoyed the gazpacho so much that he ordered two bowls! I wished we could have seen the Serrano ham carved straight off the leg, like I’ve experienced in Europe, but it seems it might have been pre-packaged—it certainly didn’t taste like it. It was sliced paper-thin and delicious. This was the most memorable meal of our entire road trip, and I love discovering these authentic spots. I wish we had spent two days in Santa Fe instead of just one, as it was far nicer than Albuquerque. We visited in mid-October and were freezing as temperatures dropped to the low 30s when the sun went down. Parking is incredibly easy throughout Santa Fe, and meters are free after 6 PM."
