"Dear McDonald’s Customer Service, I am leaving this review to formally express my disappointment with the customer service I received at the McDonald’s location in Gardiner, Maine. On 2/2/2025 at approximately 11:15-11:27pm I went through the drive-thru to place an app order. The female employee taking my order had difficulty understanding my code, and after repeating myself four times, I explained that I have braces, which might be affecting my speech. I also mentioned that if she still couldn’t understand me, I would come to the window to clarify. Instead of responding professionally, she accused me of being “nasty” and told me to “get off her line, despite my calm attempts to explain. At that point, I decided not to proceed with my order and instead requested her name to leave a review. She ignored me. I then went inside to speak with a manager, but I was informed no manager was on duty. To my frustration, I saw my order appear on the register, proving she had actually understood me the entire time this experience left me feeling disrespected and upset. I expect better customer service from McDonald’s and would appreciate a follow up regarding this matter. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely Yashonia"

"I had to wait over ten minutes for some spicy nuggets, and there was no apology for the delay. I also didn’t receive any complimentary food. "The bun was squished on the fish fillet, resembling a mess, and the tartar sauce came in a carton. After finally receiving a replacement, I was shocked to find that there was no cheese on it at all. That was the last straw for me, and I ended up throwing the food away. Having traveled extensively across the United States, I can confidently say that this location is the worst I’ve encountered. Please invest in proper training for your managers; the city of Bunkie deserves better. I’ve attached a photo of the replacement sandwich for reference."

"I have been a fan of the sandwiches at this restaurant, especially the egg mcmuffins, but I have had repeated issues with my order being incorrect. Despite asking for 2 egg mcmuffins with no butter and no cheese, I continue to receive them with cheese but no butter. This morning, when I arrived home, once again I had 2 egg mcmuffins with cheese. I even confirmed with the staff that they were mine, and they assured me they were. I cannot tolerate cheese or butter, so this is frustrating. I will still visit this restaurant, but please pay attention to my order and make it right next time. I appreciate your attention to this matter!"

"The staff here is very friendly and hardworking! Even though they were overwhelmed with orders, they managed everything with grace. The only downside was that a few items in my order were incorrect or missing. This is not typical for this location, and given how busy they were, I can understand the slip-up. "Just a little bit confusing for people unaccustomed to mobile ordering from McDonald's, because I accidentally went to the drive thru sign number three and entered the number three, until I was told by my son that there were two spots when you pull into the lot and arrive, that is not exactly visible or noticeable when you think about parking and people getting service in two drive thru lanes.Otherwise, fast and friendly service, as well as accurate only after about a five minute or so wait. Couldn't change my number three to a number two spot in the app, but the customer service team member knew how to locate me."

"I have been to this restaurant multiple times and as a vegetarian who does not eat red meat, I always opt for fish dishes. However, I have had mixed experiences when ordering coffee. I usually ask for a simple black coffee without sugar, but it is inconsistent - sometimes too dark, other times more like a cup of warm milk. "It 's okay IF you can get waited on. I understand all places are short staffed right now so I wouldn 't mention it, but twice (I was gonna order more food) someone looked at us and went on doing whatever (save for one guy who was clearly drowning in drive through I wish I knew him as I 'd suggest giving him a raise) so I decided to leave and get food elsewhere my fault, I suppose for not realizing how hungry I was. Both times I want to note I was NOT the only person in line. Perhaps this location needs to close either dine in or drive through until they can get more staff."

"This review is not a reflection on the staff, as they were friendly, helpful, and fast with service. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. However, I ordered a Big Mac after not eating at McDonald's for a long time, and I found the beef patties to be extremely thin. Both patties combined were thinner than what I had previously experienced at McDonald's. The cheeseburger patty for my children was also lacking in meat. It seemed like less meat for the same price.
