"We went to Lillie's 12/12, it was a Tuesday for late lunch. I took my mom, after a day of shopping The decor is amazing, and a fun spot to stop in during the holidays. We did not have a reservation, I was too late to secure one. There was some confusion to opening. We went to the Union Sqaure location, and Google says 1pm which is true, we walked in at about 1:30pm. We were told to grab a spot at the bar because the tables were reserved for 2pm. Lillie's is a bar all the table are hightops. No problem we grabbed a spot and looked at the menu. Here in lies the confusion, we ordered Afternoon Tea which on the menu is available from opening to 5pm. But the kitchen doesn't in fact open until 2pm. The bartenders took our order and didn't seem to know the kitchen wasn't open. They brought over tea a few minutes later. Then came back 10mins later and apologized that the kitchen wasn't open until 2pm. It all worked as we didn't mind waiting for the kitchen to open. Just thought I would send that info out incase someone else is looking to have afternoon tea, wait until around 2pm to head in. The tea afternoon was fun due to the atmosphere not special. The sandwiches were fresh but the pastries and stuff were all clearly made offsite. My mom really enjoyed it. I would go back just for the fun decor."
