"Kasey's offers a cozy and casual atmosphere. Both parties were held in a private room behind the bar. The first party was on a weeknight, and the bar and restaurant were quite busy. The party room was equipped for a DJ, although the seating felt a bit cramped. During the cocktail hour, we enjoyed a selection of hors d'oeuvres. My favorites were the paprika-spiced cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and olives drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, as well as the buffalo chicken, which had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming.
The meal started with a lovely salad. We were served a selection of four different dishes, some of which aren't on Kasey’s regular menu. I particularly enjoyed a shrimp dish. The cake was decent but not particularly memorable—I can't recall the specific type of cake, filling, or frosting. The service was attentive, though a bit slow.
About a week later, I returned for lunch. This time, there was no DJ or dance floor, and the tables felt much more spaced out. There was no cocktail hour; instead, lunch was served buffet-style, featuring penne a la vodka, rice pilaf, beef teriyaki, chicken cordon bleu, and a salmon dish, alongside salad and dinner rolls. The highlight was the dessert: a chocolate cake filled with cannoli cream and topped with whipped cream, which was absolutely divine.
Since I’ve only been to Kasey’s for these two events, I can't speak to their regular menu. However, given my positive experiences at both parties, I’ll definitely keep Kasey’s in mind for future visits to Rockville Centre."
