"My husband and I have eaten here twice today. It was our first time there. We had the salad bar, fried chicken, and the hot turkey open stood sandwich. Everything was wonderful! Maria B is wonderful! She's very personal! We ordered a cheeseburger, pommes and broccoli cheese soup for dinner! Again it was wonderful! Kledis K is also great! We're coming back! Thank you."

"I hope this prevents someone else from spending $60 on freezer food. My husband’s feet are more moisturized than these baby back ribs were. And he has a prescription cream for cracking heels. These ribs were so tough and dry that I literally had to cut them apart with a knife. Baby back ribs are finger food.It’s cute. Reviews were mostly right about the atmosphere being great. The oddly quiet music awkwardly coerced us into whispering our entire dinner conversation.Our waiter was kind. But he hovered while we browsed the menu. We had two different waiters coming to our table the whole dinner, repeating questions.They did replace the mozzarella sticks with hot ones, but they were SO expensive and only came with four small sticks that were still cold in the middle. For a $10 appetizer? I’d rather go to Sonic. Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp leading inside"

"Went there to eat, they only serve breakfast in the morning, friendly customer service. They have a very cute patio in the back, there is also setting in the front along the side. A large variety of different foods on the menu. I had the biscuit and gravy combo, comes with biscuits and gravy, bacon, and 2 eggs. They also have a BBQ pit outside."

"This has a small town cafe feel where you can hear the kitchen talking/cooking when you eat. It's cozy and the staff is very accommodating. We came here to eat because my kid was playing in a tournament, and we found it on Google. We definitely will come back should my kid play in the same tournament in the future or were in the area. It was busy when we arrived. We order a 2 kids pancake and egg breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito, which looked like it should have cost $50. The burrito was cut in half and flat ironed. All the food we ordered was delicious!!! Unfortunately, we were starving, so I did not take any pictures, and I didn't intend to review this place, but the food was too good, not to leave a positive review. When we went to pay, they offered my kids a dum dum, and they had them in a box with confetti, which was a nice touch. Only down side was it was busy so the food took a while but sometimes you have to wait for good things! It was also reasonably priced."

"To be honest, I was hesitant to try this burger joint because it looked like a hole-in-the-wall place. However, I was completely wrong! This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. If you haven’t tried Mission Burgers yet, you really should today! I'm telling you, it’s totally worth it! "I made reservations for breakfast for 4 at 10:30 for Mother’s Day. My mother arrived first they gave her a set price buffet menu at $75 per head. She told me about it when we got there so I went to talk to a floor manager, who apologized but said they weren't serving breakfast, just the buffet. We went back forth but really, we were stuck. So we stayed but it set the tone for me. I'd asked that the GM come to the table he didn't by the time we'd finished so I asked again. He came over apologized but said there was nothing he could do, that the website is run by a 3rd party may or may not be accurate that they expect guests to know that they’d only serve brunch not breakfast on special occasions like Easter or Mother’s Day. I’m not sure how he expected that the customer would know the restaurant’s hours/specials/etc sounds ridiculous to me. After more back forth, I asked if he could discount the check at first he said no, but then came back said he'd take 20% off which I accepted. He came back again told us he'd taken one full meal off. I appreciate that gesture but it should have come earlier instead of stonewalling me. The food was average, the experience was less than that, we won’t be back."

"for the early Sunday breakfast one was looking for a diner or similar that was not a good idea for the work in the city. this was the best option and could not be more satisfied! eating was solid, home cooking type, with a lot of local people who seemed to be faithfully mozens. in our experience the service was excellent, super friendly and appealing! if you want to have fun, these places are on the road, but if you want a solid, friendly breakfast, it would be hard to hit this place!"

"I give this restaurant five stars because of its location and quality of food. but only I stood in the entrance area and looked for a place to sit and it looks like it was quite full with several tables dirty. it took 10 minutes until someone asked me what I wanted, and I just asked if it was an open seating and if so, where I would sit. as new in this restaurant I didn't know where to sit now as all the tables were dirty, maybe they were left dirty due to the kovid and the 75% capacity restrictions with a turquoise code. After enough people finally came in, one of the servers came up and told me where I could sit. I sat down on the dirty table cleaned it in a proper baptism to be removed for them think I would be helpful. it took 10 minutes until my menu arrived after asking a waitress and finally enjoying a wonderful dinner. from what I belonged to other guests and a waitress close to, is that this was extremely crowded than usual. or maybe the day was just too nice to stay. I knew it could take a long time to get from there, I asked for a to-go box immediately after ordering my meal, as I told them I would know that I would take it with me and thought that this would be helpful and she said she would bring it directly with the meal. this did not happen for another 10 or 15 minutes. Now, everyone said and did they finally come back with the box and I quickly put my rest of the food in them asking for my review that I quickly got and checked on the switch after buying one of their neat looking cookies. good sale. I know they were very busy, but that's not an excuse to keep her eye on the door and see if someone needs help. I was a little excited, but I know that this is probably a fuke, as many of the people who knew the waiters and I suspect that they were mozen for a long time. love eating and I'm sure that the help would be more polite and polite if they don't probably get out and in a hurry try to bring us all. I will not come back any problem in the future."

"The Ettlin's Cafe was highly recommended by some friends and we are always looking for good restaurants. Ettlin's did not disappoint. Went on a Sunday morning, and of course it was busy but we got there early enough that we were seated right away. Please know before you dine here that your food will probably not be out in 15 20 minutes like a Perkins or other chain restaurant, but that is ok because the food is made from scratch and is delicious. Our party of four started with some of the coffee samplers and those were tasty. My husband, a Czech, tried the Czech Breakfast. He said that it was very good and filling. He said the jiternice and kolackys were different from his mom's but he liked Ettlin's jiternice and kolacky just as well. I loved the stuffed french toast. Our friends, also, enjoyed their meals too and we agreed that we will definitely be back."

"First impression: Busy! This place has an issue with lines. They form constantly at the front. It's good that they obviously have a strong following. This being my first time though I wanted to meals sure I rated them on the important stuff (atmosphere, food, price, service). The atmosphere is what you expect from a Route 66 style cafe. Music from the 50's and 60's plays overhead while you can hear orders being placed verbally to the cooks in the back. Hearing the jargon and report amongst the staff is great. Plastic tables and bright read booth seats galore. I will say this, even though they are busy they need to take the time to wipe down the tables better. Leaving wet food behind is just gross. Same thing with booth seats. The staff was marginally friendly. They did come by to refill coffee every few minutes. They also tried to make sure the orders were as expected. I had the farmers omelette, hash browns, and toast. The hash browns were good the omelette was a little more done than I prefer. It was good though but not fluffy or melty. Toast was as good as toast gets. Overall not bad. A little pricey. I have had better food for less money. Would go back someday if I end up around there again."

"Mary's Brazos at Tin Top is a fantastic spot for seafood, steaks, and burgers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the prices are very reasonable, making the food even more enjoyable. During my visit on Friday night (October 15, 2021), I decided to go for the all-you-can-eat option and I was completely satisfied—especially since our bill was only $28 for two! The food was amazing, with highlights like stuffed shrimp, fried clams, and fried catfish. The coleslaw was particularly impressive, featuring a wonderfully balanced light dressing. The potatoes were excellent, and I found the white gravy to be delicious on everything—even my fingers! I visited again on Friday (February 11, 2022) and tried the Double Meat Cheeseburger, which was incredibly flavorful. We also shared the Shrimp and Fish Platter, and I have to say, the French fries were some of the best I've ever tasted."

The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5, just like the service. The atmosphere was also quite nice, rated at 4. "Update to review: Since my first review, I have returned a few times to the Freedom Square Diner to try more menu items. I brought my hubby. He really enjoyed the food and service as well. His adult daughter recently visited us from FL. He chose to treat her to the diner. She said she REALLY enjoyed her french toast w/strawberries and whipped cream, cheesy eggs, bacon sausage. It was her first visit to Pittsburgh. So glad she was impressed. First time visit to Freedom Square Diner for my sister, niece and myself. We liked the family atmosphere very similar to Denny's or Eat'n Park . Our server was absolutely wonderful. Friendly attentive. The food was terrific. We liked the variety of speciality combos. Great coffee! Definitely would recommend based on our first experience here. Would love it if they were open longer."

"Cute little place that felt like a blast from the past. One of those sit anywhere there's an open table kinda places. As soon as we did, the waitress came immediately over. Hot coffee was given a minute later as well as our food order. Waitress was personable and answered all the questions about the menu. Yes, they do serve their entire menu all the time. Not long later, our food came. Portions were a good size. I really loved the Monkey Hill breakfast, and the biscuit was nice and buttered on the grilled. Loved the extra flavor that gave the flaky biscuits. Really glad I got the gravy on the side though since it was flavorless and didn't add anything to the biscuits at all. My friend wasn't impressed with her corned beef, but we both enjoyed our eggs. I loved the Belgian waffle and will definitely order that again. I could smell it when she was bringing it over, and it was so good while it was still hot. Bathrooms are unisex and clean. There's also a sign in there to let then know if it's missing anything. By the time we left (10 am on Sun), there was only one empty table and a couple of bar stools open. I would suggest getting here early on the weekends to avoid a wait! 1 star off because I was charged for something I ended up canceling and not getting. I originally ordered a side of grits, but the waitress convinced me we would have plenty of food. She was right since I ended up boxing half of the waffle and Monkey Hill. However, I still got charged for it. The parking lot is also really tight if you don't get there early enough to score a spot. Think there's only 10 spots that filled up really quick."

"I would give this place a negative star if I could. My husband and I walked in, sat down, and decided to try the buffet. Unfortunately, all of the food was cold. We informed the waitress about it, but by that point, we had lost our appetite. When we went to pay and mentioned that the food was cold and that we hardly ate anything, they still charged us full price. We definitely won't be returning."
